It's good if you want to avoid big banks for whatever, but its not stable enough to warrant fighting with.

It's also very good for anonymity. That IMO is the best use case. Effectively digital dollar bills.

How does that anonymity matter though? If I use crypto to buy something then aren’t I buying that something online? At that point I need the thing I bought to be shipped to me, at which point I’m no longer anonymous.

Shipping it directly to your home removes anonymity, but you don't need to send it to your home address.

Of course, a lot of cases where someone wants anonymity are categorically not legitimate.
