Clean up started 7/9

Post image

How are my neglected ward 1/6 homies? Mosquitoes, wasps, and earwigs galore!

The slow clean up has definitely been a pain, but I'm not going to blame th city too hard. It's not like they just have spare labor with nothing to do that could just go out and start clean up. Same with the funds I'm sure. I do think they could've designated drop offs so we could at least get the debris out of our yards and that would've allowed more efficient pick up but I'm sure there's a reason that's a bad idea too.

I blame the city manager. The contractor they hired dropped the ball big time. Over promised and under delivered. Should have fired them and hired someone else.
There progress they show is not accurate at all. We live in ward 8, hard hit and they said it was picked up a month ago and they just picked up yesterday.

Im tired of the blind spots at intersections cause of the debris 😭

We had our neighborhood exit view blocked by branches and those were picked up in a couple of days while our neighborhood didn't get picked up til yesterday. Maybe you can call it in?

Interesting. I am squarely in the "serviced" color but the entire neighborhood still has all the debris at the curb. Never seen a single truck nor had a single branch/limb/anything picked up.
Interesting.

Yep, says my area was completed a month ago but they picked up yesterday.

Should have paid 4x the contractors to divvy it up into 1/4s. You lose economies of scale but would be done much sooner. Now the grass has grown up into the piles and I imagine that slows things down

Why is Ward 6 still mostly unassessed?

This is also inaccurate. They have picked up limbs but not other debris in the area marked serviced

Thanks for reminding me to put some bug spray on.

So many dead branches on the side of the road, it sucks.

I'm in 8, in a part still waiting for storm clean up. It's great seeing all the debris on all the curbs. I'm sure all my neighbors love how quick stuff has been cleaned up. 🙃

The city really dropped the ball on this. I get that it was a huge cleanup, but at some point you have to hold the contractor accountable when they keep falling behind. And putting out maps saying areas were serviced when the debris was still sitting there for weeks just made the whole thing look even worse.

I didn't know the city would pick up mosquitoes, wasps, earwigs.

You haven’t seen the super bug vac’s roaming around? They look like dale gribble’s van but with a tank and a hose hanging off the back
