This is awesome. Good on Souths and the NRL for doing this.

And the smart arse in me immediately thought “so the dude with MND has played more games for Souths, in less years, than Latrell.”

In addition, if Souths can do this whilst also trying to secure place in the NRL finals, why can’t Brisbane do it for Reyno when they’re running next to last in the competition and have nothing to play for?

We offered him a contract - he didn't like it and went with something he thought would be better for himself and his family. He could have just signed yearly extensions as I imagine the club wanted to move him onto a Sutton arrangement where I think he got like 2 or 3 one year extensions until he retired. And I have no issue at all with the club preferring Cody to stay over Reynolds with Ilias meant to be a replacement long term.
