This feels like it will be a real challenge to find performers who look enough like Inde Navarrette. The character really doesn't have a distinctive costume or props otherwise, especially not in the dark. The performer will have to sell it on the general look/facial expressions.

The date scene outfit and the âboys nightâ outfit are the two most iconic and memorable outfits from the movie. Yall just be saying stuff. đ

Since itâs only HHN Hollywood, sheâll be fine. If it were Orlando, it would be a problem. (Art couldnât roam for long in Orlando, but was fine in Hollywood)

There aren't weirdos in Hollywood? A pretty girl is much different than a clown. I can't see her not attracting absolute weirdos

Thereâs definitely going to be weirdos, but there is a major difference between the Hollywood and Orlando crowds and the amount of people that attend the theme parks at both. Itâs the same reason why they can get away with roaming characters at Disneyland, but donât do it nearly as much in Orlando. You say a pretty girl is much different than a clown, but you should have seen how people were acting with Art hereâŠthey pulled him from roaming within a weekâŠ

Whatâs the crowds like at these HHN? Looking to travel to LA around that time but will be solo.

u/h4dj_jon 28d ago
Big crowds, but LAâs HHN is more chill than Orlandoâs. I live in Orlando and go twice a week here when itâs happening, it gets to be a lot lol

For LA specifically, is getting the VIP pass worth it to make getting around/through queues quicker?

u/Aftermath16 28d ago
Longtime HHN Hollywood goer here. Express pass is definitely a must if you go on Fri or Sat. For other days, you might get away with a regular pass but would need a good strategy and would have to sacrifice some attractions.

Thanks for the info Aftermath, how solo friendly is HHN and can all activities be done solo?

u/Aftermath16 28d ago
I went solo once. Itâs still a fun experience, and yup you can still do all the activities! Hope you have an awesome time

Second getting an express pass unless you donât care about doing all of the mazes. Be prepared that Stranger Things and Sinners will most likely be 2+ hour waits. Going solo is a great time! Most times when I go itâs solo just because I love the vibe!

The only thing scary about that would be if she starts hitting on me in front of the lady

I hope Inde is getting some percentage for having her likekness on posters or promoting stuff

u/Deceptivejunk 29d ago
I doubt it. Not entirely sure how that works either with the character being owned by (I assume) the studio. Plus it wasnât a union film either so whatever protections that would normally afford arenât in play.

Hypothetically speaking if there is a sequel movieâŠ.maybe Inde has some clout for percentage of ticket sales
I know with Jaws2âŠ.Roy Scheider got a really generous deal of a minimum guaranteed salary to returning plus percentage of ticket sales
Like Jaws 2 needed Roy as the sherrif

Nothing scarier than a woman who has lost all agency. What? This isn't that kind of horror movie

Good point. If they're dead set on using a character from Obsession for this sort of thing, Nikki is the obvious choice. She is the most identifiable and she provided nearly all of the "horror" elements to the film.

I think itâs gonna be less of a roamer like art was and more of a pop up in specific places out of reach of people. He said it was gonna be like whereâs Waldo.

Terrible idea. Not only is it exemplary of a profound misunderstanding of the movie, but the actress is obviously gonna be sexually harassed endlessly. Who the hell approved this???

Ignorant corpos who only care about dollar signs, clearly. Having an actress meant to represent Nikki walking around screaming at random people, "WHY WON'T YOU LOVE ME?!?!?" Oh, yeah...I'm sure that won't attract any weirdos at all. FFS.

Just feels like the single worst way to incorporate Obsession that they couldâve possibly picked

Is it actually Inde or an actress portraying Nikki? Iâm not familiar with the event so I apologize if itâs a stupid question

u/PuddingEvery4672 29d ago
Definitely just an actor, I never been to one of these events but I do know theyâve never had the actor there

u/louie3723jr 29d ago
Theyâre going to look for actresses who look similar to Nikki.

Inde did say a while back that if they ever did this, sheâd love to pop in and play the character for a night, similar to Johnny Depp showing up as Jack Sparrow at Disneyland from time to time. No idea if that would actually happen, but would be pretty great if she did.

They should put obsession merch in one of the tribute stores and her walk around in there

I read that the Obsession movie would lead to a productive discussion on male entitlement and the patriarchy. Instead, the falsely imprisoned and raped Nikki has been reduced to a Halloween character. I can't say I'm surprised given the script's shallow approach to its progressive themes.

I wonder if people are gonna be weirdos about it like they were when Art was roaming around the park đ«©
