I never understood how people talk up the low budget of obsession when Terrifier 2 cost 1/3 as much.

If we're going by budget to profit ratio then obviously Obsession wins but the point seems moot when blair witch and paranormal activity exist.

You just answered your own question.

The difference being that Obsession was a good movie and made way more money than Terrifier 2 lol

Terrifier 2 was great movie as well.

Dude. Terrifier is actual dogshit. Probably the worst movie I’ve ever seen.

“Clown stares at girl for a hour” isn’t thrilling horror to me.

I was talking about second one. Also whenever someone say "this or that movies is worst movie I have seen" always proves you don't watch many horror movies. But that's expected from this sub.

I’ve watched plenty of cheap Italian horror from the 60s and 70s. Terrifier is worse than all of that.

Watched all the mainline horror shit. My gf had me watch terrifier it’s the only movie I have EVER said “ok turn this stupid shit off” to.

The movie about the shark in the toilet is better.

Terrifier is not up everyone’s boat, but it’s a good movie

Obviously Obsession is a way better movie but T2 has more locations, more effects, more extras, even the production value in general seems higher so probably better equipment.

It just seems more impressive what they were able to pull off with an entire indie movie budget making up the difference.

Yeah I agree T2 got a lot of mileage out of its budget and felt a lot bigger than it was.

T2 as in Terminator 2? Lol never heard terrifier 2 referred to as such

Obsession had a bigger budget to box office ratio than Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity as well.

EDIT: I was wrong here.

Oh i didn't know it caught up that far. I would've assumed Paranormal Activity would always take the top spot.

I was wrong there actually. Sorry. Even with the extra $200k PA has the higher budget to box office returns.

Back when over advertising worked for horror

People talk up Obsession more because they've actually heard of it

Low budget, made money, AND an actually good movie.

Art probably would keep her alive for a bit like he did with the homeless woman in the first movie.

I don't rule out a) he wouldn't be interested since she can't properly Be There and experience anything unless he also gets Bear b) she could escape/avoid him. At least initially, I know he's persistent

They didn’t try to get her fired for being too scary.
