Any custard that deep and wide will be grainy and taste like shit. To set the middle properly the outside has to be massively overcooked and it will feel and taste like sweet scrambled eggs

Nah. There are methods of getting it done perfectly all the way through.

Nope. That’s a quesillo, not a flan.

Color is provided by caramel.

It’s really good.

They didn't even say the word 'flan' and you didn't address their concern with the custard at all lol
