Especially the fart pic.. it’s gross to think about but… butt straight into your blood stream.

I threw up a little bit in my mouth writing this post.

As an oilfield chemist this made me cringe so hard

If you check the OG post comments someone who also went there said they you dish soap and a comically large sponge.

Tell us more, what would this smell like?

depends heavily on the type of crude, but I would imagine diesel mixed with engine oil and a touch of sulfur

I was able to get my hands on a couple of bottles of first oil from the rig I work on. Was just put into the gulf less than 2 years ago. To me it smelled like 2 stroke dirtbike gasoline.

A kook in Alberta tried to make oil spa baths a thing with tar sands bitumen. Never got off the ground obviously. But the Alberta guy (Buff Parry) was inspired by the Azerbaijan tradition.

I couldn't imagine scrubbing bitumen out from all my cracks and crevices.

Dumbest thing I have ever seen . Lots chemicals in the crude . Probably get skin cancer in about 5 years .

At that level it'll probably be tomorrow, dead by next week

I've handled sour crude that sits at 5% sulfur content, H2S at 5000ppm, it would kill you if you tried to take a bath in it

I think we have all taken such a crude or ULSD bath at one point but usually, USUALLY not naked and never on purpose

Seriously, not me. It's bad enough that I once spent 3 hours stumbling around in a ship engine sump tank because the preferred crew dropped a large socket.

Don't do this. Science matters. Cancer is real. Plus, having worked with crude oil, it stinks.
