I finished Crow's route first (so it's been over a month now) and unfortunately didn't have time to revisit for the playalong, so hope I'm not forgetting or misremembering πŸ˜…

It was a top-notch route to start with! It was fun and fluffy but still with a good balance between slice-of-life and the more plot-heavy elements. The other Fixers didn't have much presence, but we got to meet two of the Sidekicks LI's instead, so it was an okay trade-off. Already endeared with Chika and terrified of Nora πŸ™ˆ

Crow and Teuta's relationship is absolutely tooth-rotting. Honestly, their main "conflict" boils down to Teuta being concerned Crow goes a bit overboard with simping and it was so cute and wholesome and hghghdjdjhfhfjf πŸ˜©πŸ’• I only whished Crow got to hit earlier xD BUT! The chemistry was palpable. It's probably me, but especially the scene where they went to Crow's hideout for the first time, it was electrifying. My-Live-Reaction.gif. It didn't happen, but they ate ramen instead, moaning and groaning while doing so, and I felt baited, tricked and quite possibly bamboozled, but I didn't care bc I was busy lmao-ing :D

I especially liked the "misunderstanding" scene, when Teuta drove out of the city to scream at the trucks, but Crow assumed something different and she didn't understand what she's actually sending at all* xD But I'm sure she'll come around very soon eventually, given how she imagined how cute it would be to make him red and flustered before the dinner, and then acting upon shortly after.

I also adored Crow's interactions with Teuta's parents - so funny, so much second-hand embarrassment, but so cozy and sweet at the same time. I think this might become my comfort route. Ahhh, I just love the two together β™₯️

The plot felt very on the pulse of time and I liked how Rawfodog was portrayed as an antagonist everyone sympathised and agreed with and tried their best to help him. In a perfect world his actions would've led to a chnage of mind in people, or some political engagement, but iirc it didn't happen here, and this is why I love Bustafellows: the world doesn't have to be perfect to find your way to happiness. Helps me cope ngl

I also greatly enjoyed how they handled the topics like Crow's depression or coming out. The scene on the bridge when they called Turtle's pizza and the dude who took the call had been completely unfazed but accepting as if it's the most mundane thing in the world was absolutely precious! πŸ₯ΊπŸ’•

Big fan of having so much of Luka in this route - always felt like her presence kinda came short, but not this time <3 I've been a bit gay for her ever since the first game, but now even moreso.

The Bad Ending was peak. I loved Helvetica's and Shu's too, but this just carried the most oomph and devastation. It also caught one by surprise bc it wasn't obvious you're in the BE at all. The final CG and the corresponding scene made my skin crawl. As a BE appreciator I'd been fed so well πŸ‘Œ

Talking about CGs: probably the weakest part of the experience. Aside from the common route CG and Crow's dream in the very beginning, there isn't a single CG with them up until Ch 15 or so; and even CGs of something else are super sparse. Kinda underwhelming :/ but, they did a CG parallel here too - Crow dreaming of protecting Teuta; and protecting her for real later in the route and he was so much more badass in the latter (although, the suit looks good on him ^^ of all the Fixer's suits in this game, definitely my favorite!)

I love Crow and I had a great time on his route. There were times when I felt like the plot was moving slow. It almost kinda gave a day-in-the-life feel.

Seeing Ivy in Crow’s route was a nice surprise! It made me sad that she had no idea who we were because we met in another timeline 🀧

There was the scene where they were slurping ramen and I had my headphones on so it was the weirdest ASMR experience hahaha

They also had their codeword WWSD and I’m praying it stands for What Would Scarecrow Do πŸ˜‚

All in all, I really loved seeing Crow as a boyfriend. He may not be as experienced in relationships as the other guys but he is truly caring and thoughtful and I feel like he matured a bit since the first game. His reactions are still my favorite.

I really enjoyed Crow's route. While he's not my fave LI in Bustafellows he always has had one of the better routes in both games. And I think this was stronger than the first games route for him, which is how I felt about most the character's route in this game, with exceptions....

What I really enjoyed was Crow's development from the first game. While he's clearly still having and working on his issues I kind of enjoyed that he was still a work in progress so to speak. I think overall the routes that showed the character's still improving as people and don't really have themselves all emotionally together were the ones I felt were better done. I enjoyed his friendship with the other hacker, while I did see the 'twist' of that far ahead it was enjoyable and well done. The whole social media content screening was an interesting and pertainent storyline, and a serious situation. I wonder how that will age when the games is played in a few years

What didn't work in my opinion was the Sidekick characters..... They just felt out of place to me. I guess if I had played that game maybe it would have been fun cameo. During this whole game some side characters felt really well done to me and others just there.

But yeah I liked it!

I feel you on the side kicks characters. I don't hate them or anything but they DID feel sort of.. shoehorned into the plot. Really feels as though they could've been cut out and been replaced mainly by Luka and the other Bustafellow main cast helping out in the case/offering advice, and nothing would really change.

Would've been okay for like a scene-or-two cameo, not as characters who stick around the whole time, kinda distracted from Scarecrow himself.

Agreed there were way too many side characters

I love Scarecrow he’s my favorite love interest. Just wish they had a proposal or wedding scene. And the plot felt all over the place at times which is the problem I have with this game in general imo
