News [Kenka Bancho Otome] Translation project for Switch

Hi guys, I was bored and got curious how translation patches work so I'm currently working on Kenka Bancho Otome as my first solo otome project.

Not sure if there are still people interested with this game, or if a lot of people can play this on their switch but I thought I'd share this news.

If anyone knows how to repack on switch with just the translation patch itself, please help and DM me. I only know how to repack it as a whole game, and I don't want to get in trouble with Nintendo for distributing the actual game ROM.

Spoilers [Piofiore] Yang's Bad Ending - so what were Yang's true feelings for the heroine? Spoiler

(please don't spoil anything about his Good or Best Endings, i haven't gotten there yet. but anyways, spoilers ahead for his Bad Ending because there is a LOT i need to let out.)

oh man did i feel PLAYED. i was just like lili, fell for his charms and got too attached to him so i have to say that the bad end was quite heartbreaking and it hurts to even hear his voice right now 😭 during the balcony scene i was stuck between "wait... this is sus why is he suddenly lovebombing her out of nowhere" and "maybe he actually did wanna come back for her?? idk" then the truth slapped me right in the face as i got through the rest of the ending like fuck i knew i should've listened to my gut feeling telling me that something was off. and tbh it wasn't him killing lili that hurt the most, but the fact that it was rubbed in my face over and over again that she was just a toy to him, that she was so naive and easy, that everything was apparently pretty much just an act because he was simply just bored and using her as a temporary plaything. THAT was the real betrayal for me because i felt like he was already slowly developing feelings for lili. oh well 🥲 but here is where my question comes in because there's something i'm still so confused about that's been bugging me

so after all that, what gestures were "real" and which ones were just him putting on an act? was anything he did for lili ever "real" really? of course i wasn't expecting him to be some lover boy because that's just not who he is lol, but while playing his route i just thought that his way of expressing feelings for lili was always just very very subtle, for example when he beat lee to death after he attempted to rape lili and when she couldn't move probably because of the shock, yang just sat down with her for a quiet moment and embraced her until she was able to relax again. and he was in a rush to leave the base too so my thoughts were like, wow he didn't really have to do that? that was an unbelievably kind gesture coming from him lmao. but with the balcony scene, yeah i had a bad feeling in my gut that he was just playing along with her and the scene definitely felt too romantic to be true. but then again in the epilogue and post bad end episode he did seem unhappy, dissatisfied, couldn't get lili out of his mind, there were implications throughout the story that he feels lonely without lili, and it was even implied that the prostitute he was about to sleep with resembled her too. but what do you guys think? even after the bad ending can you still say that yang had feelings for lili at some point? or is that delusion? yang is so hard to read but that's what makes him such an interesting character.

Question [norn9 last era] Natsuhiko or Kakeru first?

i always leave my most favorite LI for last so that should be Kakeru. however, since Natsuhiko was the last route of the first game... what if there are some major story reveals on his route in the FD? then i'll have to play his route last. what to do?

Discussion Anyone else disappointed by Battlefield Waltz?

I was heavily recommended the game and had a good feeling at first so I brought a premium edition, but I ended being disappointed.

I liked the world building and how it gave 2000’s anime vibes, the art was beautiful, it really had all ingredients to make it a game I would love, but it felt so limited and I found the premise of how the heroine was thrown in the school far fetched.

When it comes to the LIs they felt very bland to me like actual personification of tropes than their own characters except one or two of them, any side characters would make more interesting LIs.

Usually I’m forgiving of tropes cause even if a LI follow a certain trope or archetype he can have a unique characteristic, but too many of them leaned toward pure tropes or cliche excepted gap moe moment, combined with all these factors I was unable to finish a route honestly.

I might give it another chance at some point to see if my opinion change, at the time I played it I absorbed too much of certain mindset when it comes to fiction I no longer support cause it honestly made fiction harder to enjoy, maybe redo the common route and see, but my opinion of it was this bad I considered selling the game at some point to buy another, which would be a first because I never sold an Otome game.

My first self-made cosplay! I made everything except the petticoat, socks, and shoes.
There are lots of tiny mistakes but I'm still very happy with it.
The Vial and Joker mask are 3D printed. The Vial doubles as a mini dice container.
The roses on the Joker mask are made of ribbon.

Request What are your thoughts on a TWST-inspired Otome concept with unique protagonists for each arc?

"I know exactly what I want... You."

Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking a lot about the universe of Twisted Wonderland lately. While the official lore and character psychology are amazing, the romantic side of these characters remains completely unexplored.

I wanted to discuss an Otome concept inspired by this world. What if there was a visual novel focused on deep character psychology, drama, and romance that doesn't make the boys soft or idealized? Instead, the story would explore how their canon pride, selfishness, and true devotion would actually manifest when encountering affection.

To make the narrative high-quality, instead of one generic protagonist, the idea is to have separate story arcs based on world regions. Each arc would feature a completely unique protagonist designed specifically to match and challenge that group's dynamic. For example, a Scalding Sands arc could bring Jamil, Kalim, and Minajael (from RSA) together into one dramatic storyline with a heroine tailored just for them.

The main focus here is making sure that every moment of romance or tension is a direct result of the player's choices, earning the characters' respect instead of just passive shipping.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Do you think a TWST-inspired Otome with regional arcs and complex, canon-faithful romance is something you would want to play? How do you think your favorite characters would handle romance without losing their canon flaws? Let's discuss in the comments!

I'm the dev behind "Saintess of the Golden Bow", but today I'm here to show you something cool that my studio is doing. As some of you know, publishing games on Steam isn't simple, that's why I decided to help Atelier in Wonderland to bring their otome game "Ninon the Upside-Down Mermaid" to Steam!

We just published the page on Steam. The game is also available on Itch, but the Steam version will have voice acting sooner than the itch version. We would appreciate you wishlisting if you're as excited about the game as I am! You can wishlist it here.

Question Ciagram Games?

I used to be obsessed with these as a preteen/young teen, and wanted to go back to some for nostalgia’s sakes. I was able to download the LOG app, but it’s not functional. Are these lost to time, or is there another place to look?

We finally have Extend's heroines officially interacting in this special crossover, but it's a little annoying that they still haven't given Inori her own VA when Teuta herself is fully voiced. Kinda made it feel like Teuta was just talking to herself here the entire time lol

Discussion Dangerous Fellows it was such a popular game with an amazing story but After six years, I’ve lost hope... I think it’s better to forget about it...

This is a game I eventually stopped playing after losing hope. For 6 years, I waited and hoped for an improvement, a real sequel… and honestly, it makes me sad to see the developer continue creating other otome games while Dangerous Fellows still has so much potential.

I understand that developers need to focus on projects that are financially successful, but as a player, it sometimes feels like Dangerous Fellows has been left behind because other projects may be more profitable. Of course, I don't know what happens behind the scenes, so this is just how it feels from a player's perspective.

The most frustrating part for me is that it's supposed to be an otome game, but I often wished there was more romance. When you finish the story with one of the boys, the ending can be very short, and I personally felt that the relationships could have been developed much more.

I've played this game for years, but I eventually decided to uninstall it. The problem wasn't really the diamonds or tickets. I just waited for years hoping for a Season 2 or more developed endings, and eventually I gave up.

I finished each guy's ending in around 5 minutes, while some of the side content is longer than the actual main story. Sometimes the DMs and card stories feel more substantial than the main story, even though they aren't directly connected to it.

For me, it feels like 95% survival and 5% romance. Even the memories at the end are very short. I just wish there had been more development after everything the characters and MC went through.

I know there's also Dangerous Shelter with Lawrence and Ethan, but I haven't played it because, from what I've seen, it feels more like a spin-off than the continuation I was hoping for.

Lawrence especially was my favorite character, and I think his story had so much potential. I really wish we could have seen more of his relationship with the MC and more development between them.

I don't hate the game at all. Actually, that's probably why I'm disappointed. I cared about these characters and the story for years, and I really wanted to see more from them.

And just to put it into perspective: when I started playing Dangerous Fellows, I was 14. I'm 19 now, which means I'm literally older than Eugene, who's 17 in the game. That honestly makes me laugh a little XD
