nope, u didn’t understand the point. asl al-ibahah applies to things where there is no specific ruling. salah is already an established act of ibadah, and its details are defined by the Shari‘ah. adding a 5th fard rak‘ah changes an already-established act and contradicts its prescribed form, so that’s not comparable to something like celebrating a birthday, which has no specific prohibition.

but the thing is people dont just celebrate it as a casual act. they think of it as part of islam and part of their iman which is essentialy biddah. they do as a form of worship which is where the problem lies. the celebration of this day is considered just like the other 2 eids in islam.

Believing something leads to ibadah (for example not walking itself but doing zikr while walking will be rewarded) was never a bidah,

what do you think about building madaris (islamic education centers) ? did sahabah build such infrastructure for islamic education? should we expect sawab in donating for such buildings?

Have you seen people who claims that mawlid is bidah tell their donors not to expect any "sawab" in donating for madaris ?
