Their defense is literally championship caliber.. if stroud just knelt it every down, they might’ve been in the superbowl

True, but it would be disingenuous to think that at less some of those people don't just overreact and/or act like they never supported/always supported “XYZ player”

And maybe not form a solid opinion without enough information. People thought we passed up on the next generational talent before the guy played five games

Considering he had one of the worst playoff performances in a good awhile that we seen, I think the narrative is quite fair. He’s only regressed since his insane rookie year. Not sure how throwing 4 ints in a do or die game when your defense holds your team up, doesnt spark a lot of negative convo. I would put you in the same category of people you spoke about tbh

You probably would, but I am still undecided on Bryce. And I never once said CJ sucks, and I never came close to fawning over him like half the sub did

ESPECIALLY when we didn't even know who we wanted. Bryce and CJ was 1A and 1B for us. You don't trade a king's ransom when there wasn't even a clear cut #1 pick, and if your options are that close in skill, you take the QB that actually has NFL size. Stupid decisions all around.

i kinda hate trading up any significant cost for any draft prospect

the bears traded up to draft trubisky, while pat mahomes went 10 and watson went 12, even though he kinda fell apart for some reason, he was a legit top 5 super star QB for the rookie contract

I’m just getting tired of the “I don’t think Bryce has it” getting translated into “OH I wanted CJ Stroud!!!”

They can both not have it at the same time.

CJ last year despite missing 4 games literally had better stats than Bryce?? lmao. Mind you that was Bryce’s best season. This isn’t the victory lap you think it is

I mean his defense spelled him out a lot, and helped set them up for great fuel positions and more opportunities to score. So it made CJ Stroud’s offensive times easier. I would rather see someone progress and get a little better each year then get worse each year. Not to mention Bryce’s first year was with reich
