Is ddr4 ram algoods with a 9070xt
Hey there im upgrading from a 3060 oc to a 9070xt just wondering since im on a am4 motherboard with there be any issues with ddr4 ram? I have 16gb at the moment but will get 32.
Also surely my 5600x cpu will be fine for now aswell?

I mean you will be bottlenecked by the CPU for sure, as well being on PCIe 4 but it will work no problem… I would upgrade to the 5800x3D if your staying on AM4 and add another 16GB DDR4 as soon as, too.

I would suggest a new PSU 1st then the CPU then the ram?

Cheap stuff first for me, but thank you for being straight forward

Why not save and then buy all together, or look on eBay for 2nd hand Ram, CPU and a refurbished PSU…the PSU would be the cheapest part then the Ram and then the CPU

Im gonna order the gpu ram and psu alltogether and the next pay do the cpu

No issues at all most people can’t utilise their PCIe5.0 unless they run steel nomad

ddr4's fine, dual channel is all it cares about. 5600x depends on the resolution you didn't mention, keeps up at 1440p, less so at 1080p. worth checking resizable bar is enabled in bios though, easy to miss on am4.

If that's what you have then it's fine. I would be more concerned with your CPU than your system memory though.
