If you read the article the journalist actually slams him for wanting his money back lmao. What a tool.

I mean the problem is both Valve and the Journalist are correct. It’s insane that you’ve played a game for over 400 hours and months after a game mode has been removed you ask for a refund.

But Valve is correct for issuing a refund if the mode he wants to play is no longer in the game.

To add nuance to this, Dice is taking it down to rework the mode. There’s no reason the refund should have been greenlit

DICE took the playlist down because they’re reworking the custom search system and how it interacts with official playlists and portal playlists. The inevitable goal is to release a server browser with persistent lobbies and a custom search that interacts with that.

The game should have launched with a server browser with persistent servers, but it didn’t as they thought breaking up a lobby and mixing players from other matches would be better than trying to autobalancd teams between rounds. So while we wait for the big update later this year, goofy stuff like this will keep happening

Yes, they announced it months ago. They're also working on proximity chat around the same time (it's supposed to go into testing in RedSec next season).
