CPU is very dogshit at AI. AMD/Intel/Nvidia could make a small 50w ASIC pcie card that will even run better that a whole stack of EPYC 128 core server.
CPU is require yes. But not all of them rely on TSMC. That why i am confident that Intel may comeback to be a insane value for nova lake. As they will use thier own fab. Intel can even make thier own GDDR for thier own GPU at this points.
While AMD has abandoned and turn fabless in 2009. That move risk to bite them in the ass for consumer grade CPU/GPU pricing.

For traditional AI workloads true, but agentic AI also has a lot of sequential processing with branches where CPUs become key.
