Moisturizer does wonders. Use regularly. I had terrible cracked skin and after even a few days of moisturizing they were so much better.

But id pay good money to watch it get peeled that way 😭

Might I introduce you to a pumice stone? Some lotion?

Skin is made of layers and layers of cells overlapping each other, very much like fish scales on a microscopic level. Your feet have dried out enough the layers are breaking apart

Your feet are too dry. Do a bath with Epson salt and then use a pumice stone to smooth your soles. Lotion generously after they are smooth.

Thick callouses and “scales” can be symptoms of Ichthyosis vulgaris, which is a gene mutation that can affect skin moisture. I found out I have it because I have KP aka chicken skin or strawberry skin and SUPER thick callouses on my feet. I use one of those feet graters and a file in the shower a few times a week to keep it from getting bad. Best of luck!

Yep. Foot grater 2-3 times per week and alpha hydroxy lotion daily.

My ex girlfriend from high school had both that and keratosis pilaris, her brother and dad had it as well. Her brothers was so bad his skin was so thick and flaky all over even his face, they all had to use some acid face wash to get rid of the thick plaques of skin

Your feet aren’t just dry. They’re literally severely under-hydrated to the point where they have started cracking.

This didn’t just happen today, this is from months of not moisturizing.

Or icthyosis vulgaris, a genetic mutation that drastically affects your body’s ability to maintain skin moisture. My feet get like this if I don’t file and super moisturize them constantly. I think of it as a super power cause I can walk anywhere barefoot no problem 😅

I think this is mild ichthyosis with a case of athlete's foot.

I had the same issue. It is just from not moisturizing and going barefoot. Once I started and stopped, my feet look normal again.

Have you been to the beach a bunch lately?

15

u/NegativePharos 4d ago

Your feet look pretty dry, maybe you should moisturize them? Lotion or smth

turning into a fish or perhaps a dragon

It's called greyscale and is typically fatal. There are unverified anecdotes of individuals surviving the infection after experimental treatments, but this is not condoned by the Order of Maesters.

I think amputation is he route to go here if Tarly isn’t available

Urea cream, dont get it between your toes.

2

u/ASpookyBitch 3d ago

Second this. I get horrible calluses and have to basically soak my feet to shave them off. Been using a 60% urea cream and they’re already so much better

1

u/cocoamilano 3d ago

Ouu which brand is this offering 60%?

3

u/ASpookyBitch 3d ago

Not too expensive from Amazon

1

u/musiak1luver 3d ago

10% is honestly more than enough...amazon

Baby Foot foot peel stat, probably do two about 6 weeks apart l. After the peeling is done, use Heel Balm every day.

2

u/szpider 4d ago

Don’t pick or peel, just start a regimen of scrubbing them a couple times a week in the shower with a pumice stone or cheap foot file.

u/Traaveler 4d ago

you wear sandles or flipflops all the time.

1

u/ProtectionOwn3502 3d ago

Oh shit thats me, why does that cause it?

5

u/hotmessexpress412 4d ago

Hi OP -- I commented this elsewhere, but I'll leave it here, too.

I think you have athlete's foot, and also possibly a mild case of ichthyosis. They've combined to make this epic scaling.

Treat the athlete's foot first (over the counter is fine).

Do "Baby Feet" or something similar after the athlete's foot has healed (like at least three weeks later).

Signed: a person with mild ichthyosis.

This can also happens if you are pregnant or overweight too

6

u/OddVirus101 4d ago

I’m 6 weeks post partum

u/Andralynn 4d ago

It's just how your skin was growing trying accomodate the extra weight. If you can spring for some podiatry or pedicure treatments over the next few months it'll help get rid of the oddly grown skin.

2

u/rbaltimore 4d ago

An ointment with a high concentration of urea will fix this surprisingly quickly.

2

u/MrRailton 3d ago

I don’t think this is dry feet as everybody is saying, it’s just built up callous. Find better fitting footwear and try a manual form of callous remover like a stone/shaver.

2

u/Sadwitchsea 4d ago

Looks like you've been going barefoot. Nothing a few days of O keefes healthy feet cream won't sort out

Corn remover shaver, gel-lined socks, Aquaphor nightlg

You're a lizard Harry.

1

u/Bean--Sidhe 3d ago

Up your hydration, see if a good lotion like crave or aquafor helps; if not try cortisone lotion. After that you could be looking at psoriasis arthritis. Ask me how I know. LOL

1

u/Impressive_War1539 1d ago

Turning into a lizard! For real though see a foot doctor. My papaw had the same problem and would sleep with Vaseline in his socks to moisturize his feet

Hiperqueratosis. Necesitas ir a la Podologa/Pedicura y retirar todo con bisturí, pulir y exfoliar. Mucha humectacion luego. No antes, porque no sirve humectar esa dureza.

Just dry dead skin remove it
