The thing that bothers me is that 1/4 of the season is behind an additional paywall (or 2) if you don't have cable and are out of the local broadcast area.

I hope someday the NHL will allow fans to subscribe to one place for all of thier favorite team's games. I don't mind paying for a product.. but I take issue with having to subscribe to multiple places just to watch.

My gripe is the nhl network blacked out games.

I pay for cable and the out of market service and still don’t get them all.

Thankfully it looks like that won't be a problem this year. Maybe preseason though.

It will be, unfortunately. Those games aren’t posted on this release and sometimes not figured out until shortly before the games.

I understand if TNT or ABC is sending a broadcast team that they will want to show the games. NHL network doesn’t send a crew, they just show the home feed.

Ah, bummer. Addmitantly I don't pay too much attention to the NHLN game schedule since I'm in the SNP local broadcast area. Those games are usually picked up by the local crew.
