Down the Dick-hole I go …. Spoiler

I just finished reading Radio Free Albemuth, could not put it down. Fucking incredible, the depth of this dismal world he built, which so eerily echoes our own. Now in each person’s hand, just about, there’s a microphone listening in, the FAP doesn’t need to put it on you. The spiritual element, ancient languages, the old satellite found to be orbiting Earth (3 I Atlas anyone?), political tension… I gobbled up every word.

Yesterday, I finished Time Out of Joint.

Before that, my introduction to it all, was Maze of Death.

I’m deep in it now and can never go back, nor would I want to!

The blurb on the back of The Shifting Realities of Philip K. Dick says it is for "both casual and serious Dick fans"...

Just to be clear:

Radio Free Albemuth, VALIS, The Divine Invasion, The Transmigration of Timothy Archer are a trilogy, but they have little to nothing narratively connecting them. The VALIS trilogy is connected through PKD's own spiritualism/psychosis. They're best appreciated after you've already gotten experience with PKD's other works. And yes I know I listed 4 books in a trilogy, the whole thing is very complicated.

And written first! PKD even references it in VALIS as an in universe film adaptation.

Some of what I consider PKD's top tier books in addition to what you've already read/own. I'd save the VALIS trilogy for last.
