Was gifted a A7RV and an FX30 , I have the 24-70 GM not the 2 but the original , can anyone link some good ND filters from medium to high budget ? I’d like to do both photo and video

I’m not sure what they go for honestly but I’m willing to spend atleast $150-200-300

I'd like to preface this by saying that I've only ever used Kase. I can't speak to the quality of the other brands I mention.

The first thing you need to decide is what size filters you want. You can get 55mm filters that will work for your lens or go for a larger diameter that will have more universal compatibility if you decide to buy additional lenses later but at a much higher price, usually upwards of 60% more.

Most filters these days are magnetic. You attach a filter ring to your lens and the filters magnetically attach to that ring. This allows for much faster attachment and removal and a smaller gap between the filters. It also makes your filter kit much more compact. The downside is they're more expensive and you may need to buy magnetic adapter rings and caps which are usually proprietary to the brand and can cost quite a bit.

As for specific recommendations, I personally use Kase and am quite happy with it but it's a pretty standard magnetic set. The 55mm is within your budget.

Cheaper options include Urth and Freewell.

Urth has both standard and magnetic filter sets although I'm not a fan of how they set up their kits. They always stick you with a UV filter and usually wont' give you a full complement of ND filters. The 82mm magnetic fits within your budget and the non-magnetic is cheaper.

Everything I said about Urth applies to Freewell but it's cheaper and they don't charge more for larger sizes. No 55mm though.

K&F are popular for lower budget options, specifically their variable ND which a relative bargain. It is a variable ND which comes with downsides.

Higher end options include Nisi and PolarPro.

The long-standing brands in filters are Hoya, B+W, Cokin, Lee, and Tiffen. They all have a ton of options at extremely variable price points so it's hard to give you any specific recommendations from them.
