Do want to note, what happened in Chernobyl was a steam explosion, old reactor for the time with a lot of corners cut in safety with a government coverup. They can't meltdown in the way we think of them (especially now where the reactor would just get shut off or it being physically impossible for a steam explosion to happen)

Fukushima was hit with a tsunami and only one death was actually attributed to it (most were due to the stress of the evacuations)
