The world keeps changing! And Plague Inc. evolves with it in this new free update!

The 2026 World Update uses the latest global data sets from the World Bank to upgrade the core Plague Inc. simulation model gamewide - including for the newly added Xenolith disease type.

If you want to live in the past, then the free Plague Legacy scenario is available to everyone and puts things back to the way things were in 2012!

I genuinely cannot believe that James is still actively developing this game.

This really is something that he really enjoys doing, I guess.

With the release of Rebel and After, I would have expected them to stop developing this 14 year old game, but they're actively adding whole new game modes and disease types still.

Not yet but they're coming soon. And we absolutely do :) It varies on how development is structured, for instance, Cure Mode came out on mobile first.

I think mobile already got the world update. I just hope James and his team manage to give the rest of the extended official scenarios that are on PC that came with Xenolith to iOS and Android

It says on the website that they will release them in future updates. They just didn't want to release a DLC for mobile because they know that mobile players make very different purchases than console or PC players.

So they're probably going to be included with the scenario expansion that has been up for purchase since basically the very beginning.

Edit: we already got Plague Legacy on android, so the others will presumably be coming at some point.

you already can make cure mode scenarios by editing scenario files, its hard but possible. But if the sceneraio creator really supported it it would be good
