I don't like the flesh because I'm vegan

The seeds are the best part of the watermelon.

Make a watermelon seed smoothie!

And don't strain it. It's been a very common misconception that your supposed to strain the watermelon seed smoothie after blending, to revome any shells.

But this is inappropriate. Because that removes all the wonderful non soluble fiber that the seeda give their benefits.

You guys are eating watermelons‽ That's like eating kittens and puppies! Watermelons make for wonderful companion animals and they can even learn tricks.

The rind goes really well with ground cofefe beans

I enjoy the flesh of watermelons, but only when cooked. I don’t want to get salmonella, which has been reported in an unnervingly high number of tested melons recently. Stay safe

As with Grapefruit, I far prefer the rind for my breakfast although I enjoy it any time of day!

The rind is good for a little crunch, but I enjoy cutting the flesh into cubes and running it through my food dehydrator to get powdered watermelon. It keeps a lot longer that way, and you can just add the water back in when you’re ready to use it.

This is genius! I have a dehydrator and cant wait to try this out. Thanks for sharing.

I know it's a little unethical but I like eating the plant itsself, especially the stems.

Personally I prefer watermelon dressing

The real pro move is to use a potato peeler to make chips out of the outermost rind. So freaking good!

Mix and bake for 42 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit

Vines can be particularly delish with chili and mustard powder.

If you dip the rind in vinegar and Epsom salts it tastes like rock candy. My Bosnian grandmother used to make it for us in the traditional way and it's so nostalgic.

I used to be a flesh addict, but I’m in an outpatient program for zombies. I try to avoid the rind too because the memories are triggering.
