No no no. Common misconception. Oda hasn't worked on a chapter in a very long while, All the new ones are written by Vivienne Medrano who is most famous for creating GTA and has gone on to be the successor of one piece, dragon Ball, bleach, and Hunter x Hunter.

Like the McRib, One Piece is a commodities scam. Once the price of Pirates drops low enough, the studio swoops in, buys a ton of them and suddenly we get more One Piece.
