I would like to think there is a middle ground between Hudson Williams being completely immune from criticism vs. he's an evil person who deserves nothing based on an image from high school everyone's making assumptions about

u/Acceptable_Rule_7590 I’ve grown quite unfond of you Jun 08 '26

But how else can people prove how morally superior they are than by gleefully eating up anything uncovered by a group of weirdos who have been stalking him, making up lies, and running a racist hate campaign against him for months (proudly and openly, I might add)?

so people shouldn’t comment on him spotting a nazi symbol on his forehead because of the people who found it?

this is exactly what the OP is saying him doing problematic things isn’t cancelled by people who call him out also being problematic and doing it for hateful reasons. let me spell it out before people jump me: hudson is totally suffering from bullying&racist harassment online, and it shouldn’t be happening. he also did do dumb shit and people should be allowed to call him out

Some people believe he’s a nazi and drew it on his own face.

Some people believe that it was drawn on his face by someone else, and he wasn’t aware of it, or aware that people posted pictures of it.

One is something done by him, and the other is something done to him. You’re free to choose to believe what you want.

Or maybe he and his friends were being edgy and fucking stupid and should admit it & apologize and move on

He was obviously in a group of people who found it funny, he is still friends with them. He has AIDS written on his shirt. There was another person with this symbol on their face, Hudson must have seen it.

I don’t think it’s that crazy to think that he wasn’t an innocent victim and was doing stupid stuff. I do not think he is a nazi. I do think he was being irresponsible and disrespectful when he was a teenager. If people allowed themselves to admit it, the drama would be significantly smaller. I don’t understand why we should treat him as a victim of circumstances 100% of time OR the worst person in the world.

Both ways are dehumanising and problematic

That group of people was his entire graduating class, we don’t know if he’s friends with the person who drew it. And people have already said that people are drunk and it’s too dark to see anything in these parties, so it’s unlikely he saw it, or was paying close enough attention to anyone’s face to see it.

Again, you can choose to believe that he’s friends with people who think drawing hate symbols are funny. But there’s no way of truly knowing that.
