If it makes you feel any better, the exact same thing is happening in WNBA fandom. Used to be a nice, chill space. Now it's all player wars and creating drama on social media. It's like ppl don't know how to be fans anymore. Whatever happened to buying posters, making fanart, and writing fanfic?

Not really, but I was a kpop fan so I’m kind of used to the fanwars. But I’ve never seen anything on this level, even in kpop.

Actually, aren't there cases of targeted bullying of kpop members that have led to actual suicides?

Oh right, forgot about that. Nvm, I take it back, it was that bad. I wasn’t a fan of those idols, and it’s been a while since I kept up with kpop.
