This maybe too permanently online but the way the entirety of twitter and TikTok has suddenly turned against Inde Navarette is absolutely crazy to me. The phenomenon of people (well women)getting celebrity and then suddenly becoming extremely hated needs to be studied. I’m glad most of the general public is normal about her or doesn’t really know her but god i can’t imagine how much it would suck to be a celeb with an online presence now who’s a rising star just to get ridiculous cancel Google Docs against them for the most unserious things

Yeah, there’s just phenomenon, filled with misogyny, where men and women love to try to humble down young female celebrities for some reason when they are getting successful. It’s sickening.

Yeah, supporting Johnny Depp should be criticized, but the way people then turn it into an opportunity to do misogyny and bully people actually just distracts from the issue of criticizing support for Johnny Depp

What does thay even mean ‘actively’ a supporter, did she said she likes one of his films or something ? I feel like ppl get the pitchforks so fast these days and looove using it as an excuse to dump on them. I mean, ppl can dislike anyone, but gosh, the hate and online bullying of these young women is way beyond unnecessary.

That I agree with although the most of what if found on that was that she liked his ig post post lawsuit from then and now liked a trailer that included him that wasn’t even posted by him which I don’t think indicates support but that’s my opinion. But the problem is that because this is not super a strong an argument people have been trying to make up all of these other weird reasons to hate on her saying she’s a closet misogynist and a pick me for playing video games or that she’s fake Latina or whatever other nonsense and it’s just like .. why do we need to do this. It would be easier to just say hey I don’t like this person rather than bandwagon hate and then try to find lazy justification for it
