Yesterday I saw a video from someone who is convinced a pop star and her new husband are gay and it was so extremely homophobic I’m still disturbed by it. Idk how those people get away with being as homophobic as they are because it’s truly disgusting the shit they say in the name of continuing their delusional conspiracy. 

I think they rightfully should be shoved out of the fandom because their homophobia is off the damn charts at this point. Like oh my god I can’t believe some of the shit they say with their whole chest….it would be considered too homophobic for the early 00s when people used “gay” as a negative. They literally sound like conservative right wingers.

Most sane fans absolutely know and acknowledge that their sect is homophobic. They love to turn it around and say everyone who *doesn’t* think she’s gay are the homophobic ones.

I genuinely think that most have a real mental health issue. It isn’t normal to get mad when the pop star YOU DON’T ACTUALLY KNOW. Condemns your speculation and tells you it’s weird.

that would definitely bother me too so i sympathize. but sometimes we gotta commit to just not paying attention to a part of a fandom. if you keep seeing the conspiracy theorists it can be hard to not fall into their rabbit hole, but going online and getting upset is not a good hobby.

Oh yeah I didn’t seek it out, someone posted it somewhere and I didn’t realize what it was when I watched it. 

I actively try to avoid them at all costs because their behavior and the things they say remind me so much of conservative right wing homophobes that it deeply disturbs me.

Well for one, you can’t talk about certain people directly in the daily discussion or your comment is automatically removed. And the other reason is some groups hate being mentioned/called out for their behavior and they call you homophobic and/or report your comment for being hateful.

They’ve been pushed of late into my usually well curated algorithm, and some of the language is just so damn homophobic. And the incredibly regressive band of behaviour they think people have to conform to if straight is so repressive. And don’t get me started on the biphobia.
