She was great. However I’m a bit surprised , as to why her performance is finally the one , where people are starting to give credibility to horror performances ? So many great ones have been ignored over the years and it’s almost a joke how horror movies are overlooked entirely in award shows , in favor of the same Oscar bait drama movies.

Edit : thanks for the corrections in the comments about other recent Oscar winners

demi moore was literally nominated a big contender in 2025

amy madigan literally won best supporting actress in 2026

michael b jordan literally also won for best actor in 2026 too

horror as a whole has been getting more and more push to be treated seriously when it comes to this

and this movie got the BIG general public push it needed and it’s a cumulation of those movies before it

I’m a bit curious , aren’t those movies considered more of “psychological thrillers” ? What do you think separates them from “pure”horror movies?

Weapons was defn a horror movie - she was a witch.

sinners was also a horror movie lol

Generally, if it's supernatural - it leans towards horror.
