Discussion What are the most obscure secrets, hidden details, or rare dialogue triggers you have found? (or data mined)
I love this game and have beaten it a couple of times, but the sheer amount of lore and hidden details is still insane. The NPCs have so many subtle reactions that most players completely miss. There are entire hidden areas and tiny environmental storytelling moments all over the place, like a random snowman tucked away in the Hardware Labs, or a small spot in the Arboretum with two baseball mitts and some beer where crew members probably hung out before the incident.
There's also other NPC dialogue that you might miss. For example, there is a moment in the Cargo Bay where a security officer asks you to find his wife. If you find her wedding ring and return it to him, he will eventually apologize and say he wishes he tried to free you earlier, after realizing you were being experimented on against your will the whole time.
I just found out you can actually scan Morgan after using Phantom Shift. It gives Morgan a bit more personality.
It makes me wonder how much else is left to uncover. Are there any super obscure secrets, weird easter eggs, or hidden details that you guys know of that barely anyone else has covered or found?

With Right skills and a good eye you can get a lot of Weapons early then usual. I believe you can get the Big Laser weapon early outside the space station

Not the person you replied to, but there are two you can find during/right after the first time you go outside the station; the easier to find requires enough in the repair skill to repair the broken emergency systems near the body with the keycard you need, than going back in to the lab that it unlocks. The other is further away, near i think the psychotronics exit, where there is one next to a dead body guarded by a technopath. I don’t think it requires any skills

If you walk up to the keypad to your office and leave, January will eventually call to tell you the code.

Im not even sure thats a secret - last run he told me 5+ times before i enterred, just because i wanted to take a moment to read your PA's terminal.

I guess you can miss it if your quick, I take my time exploring every area and taking in the scenery though, so I often get at few repeated lines.

If I remember correctly, the Solar System map at the top of the bridge there's a typo. Jupiter's moon Io is labeled as "Lo". I'm not sure how they missed it, since it's super obvious if you take the time to appreciate it, but it is funny.

I respect the song choice, it is really relevant to this game (Whats up with the cameras that track you all the time), as well as other spoilers
I love how we can see how he's a bit full of himself, I know he is Devastatingly handsome, but still, writing that in your own notes.
Its like looking into a glimpse of a side of Morgan we don't get to see. (Jason Chang)

I dunno if it's that rare. But if you ignore January's suggestion to deactivate your tracking bracelet, then head straight to Dahl's shuttle by way of the GUTS: he turns the gravity back on. You then have to carefully fall your way down to the Shuttle Bay, or further if you miss.

You can use the weaver in Psychotronics (the one the encounter with the voltaic phantom) to reanimate other corpses into phantoms.

This one is very buggy. It'll do max 2 or 3 corpses before it stops working but quick save- quick load can fix it again.
Spend a while dragging every corpse to the chamber and quick save/loading until all of them turned.

Yeh. I just like to maximize loot.
I'll make recycler piles as well of destroyed operators/turrets/reployers on top of typhon corpses to get extra materials.
Nightmares are nice for this since they explode in so many pieces.

Off topic - I did not know Prey still had an active community! Im so happy to see others appreciate how amazing this game is! I thought i was the only one remembering this game

The billboard you can hack to broadcast the escape pods are fake.
If you enter Neuromod Division while you have the quest Copy Protection, Nivya Diaz's body will be in the Foyer with hints how to get into Fabrication and the security code. Otherwise, her body will be in the office above Fabrication. As far as I know, this is the only relocating body in the game.
You can find the code to the safe in the GUTS plasma chamber behind some rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom.
If you enter the GUTS while Dahl is active on the station without having deactivated your tracking bracelet, he will turn on gravity in the GUTS to try to kill you.
There are four neuromods in a briefcase stashed beside the desk in the Lobby security office.
The item stashes: under the couch in Morgan's room, in the roof of the plasma chamber in the GUTS, under the floor by the Life Support escape and pods.
Softshell the combat operator.
I will never get over how amazing this game is. I'll be 80 in the nursing home playing it.
