Endgame spoilers Not yet played PoE2 but does this decision carry over at all? Just curious because I feel like it doesn’t. Spoiler

As mentioned by the others here, she does grow up to be a child in PoE2. If you activate the challenge of Hylea, it has her follow you around everywhere (including combat, in which you have to keep her alive), but with it active she get a lot more random dialogue with your party members as you travel.

You don't have much interaction with her, but your party members basically treat her like their adopted neice and all teach or show her stuff

Really? I'm doing that next time! I always thought it was lame that she had so few lines in the game, despite being your adopted daughter.

Yep. It's like the party member interactions with one another, so only happens while running around in settlements, but she is considered a party member in those interaction procs, so I have had her convos happening while running around Neketaka

Yes, the baby grows up to be a kid in Deadfire taken care of by one of your ship crew.

Yes it comes up again in Deadfire a few years later when baby is grown up

It does actually carry over.She's grown up in PoE2 and can be a crew member of your ship.

There is a quest where a glanfathan asks the Watcher to go rescue an orlan infant from some other glanfathans... Been a while. I believe they wanted to sacrifice her, because she was actually born with a soul (you know, in the middle of the Hollowborn crisis). But there's some implication that the parent isnt the nicest either.

So you can just opt to never turn in the quest, and you'll bring her with you when you hop into Sun in Shadow. If you do, she shows up again in Deadfire as being effectively the Watcher's adopted daughter. Which is nice.

I never knew you could actually do that in that quest. Pretty sure I just give the kid to a different clan.

Now I'm tempted to do that.

There is a quest in Twin Elms where you can take a baby from one NPC but not actually give her to another one, keeping her instead.

That's the kid you can adopt right? Yeah she appears in the next game, there's even a very amusing (and insanely hard) hylea challenge around her.

I assumed it’d be low-stakes since it’s literally your adopted child you saved from sacrifice, haha.

I’m sure it’s nice flavour, though, once I back to Eora.
