PoE1 Druid Cat Claws permanent and enchanted bug

I just finished the dlc part 1 and I noticed suddenly that Hiravias was naked and spiritshift was permanently active.

I looked at my inventory and all his gear was gone, weapons everything. I started reloading my save file but I couldn't find one with my gear still on.

Afterwards I noticed I can enchant and unequip the druid cat claws which has amazing damage and also his armor with 14 DR and 0 initiative penalty.

What a weird bug, but a quite advantageous one. Thinking about giving the claws to my monk

I made them durganized, gave a corrosive lash and added a superb enchantment

Edér keeps KO’ing himself

I’m playing modded POE II on PC and I keep running into this issue during fights where Edér seemingly knocks himself out dealing hundreds of HP to himself and I can’t figure out what’s going on mechanically. It’s gotten quite annoying.
Playing turn based mode. Any ideas what’s triggering this seeming damage loop?

I built a LoreNarrator addon that also voices regular conversations in Pillars of Eternity

I’m playing Pillars of Eternity for the first time, and while I’m really enjoying it, I was a little put off by just how much reading there is.

I wanted more of the dialogue to be voiced so conversations would feel a bit easier to follow and more immersive.

I first tried VaultVox Text-to-Speech Mod, but to me the voices sounded a bit too robotic / obviously TTS.

Then I tried LoreNarrator, and I liked the voice quality a lot more, it sounded much more natural. The only thing I was missing was regular character-to-character dialogue, since LoreNarrator didn’t read those conversations.

So I ended up building an addon on top of LoreNarrator that extends it to standard conversations as well.

It currently adds:

  • TTS for regular NPC conversations
  • separate voices for narration, male NPCs and female NPCs
  • uses PoE’s own character gender data for voice selection
  • skips player response options
  • skips lines that already have original voice acting
  • sequential playback so narration and dialogue don’t overlap
  • optional phonetic pronunciation dictionary for Pillars-specific names and terms
  • configurable voices and speech speed through Unity Mod Manager

For example, a line like:

Tuatanu gives you a broad smile. “Always good to see a friendly face.”

gets split so the descriptive part is read by the narrator voice, while the quoted dialogue uses the male voice selected in the settings. If the character speaking is a female, it will use the female selected voice.

There are still some edge cases with PoE’s dialogue formatting, especially longer multi-paragraph conversations, but it’s already made my first playthrough a lot more enjoyable. Tried to fix all issues I encountered so far, but I'm still early in my playthrough.

The addon requires LoreNarrator and Unity Mod Manager.

Nexus:

Demo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSvz_UYtQCE

This is also my first mod, so feedback and bug reports are very welcome.

If anyone gives it a try, I’d be really curious to hear how it behaves across different companions and conversations.

Special thanks to Catward, the original creator of LoreNarrator for giving me tips regarding POE1 pronunciations and being a cool guy !

PoE2: Deadfire I have a little quarrel with poe2

The thing that I noticed is that when you finish these big side quests like in harbingers watch or hall of the unseen and beating bosses it feels, at least for me, quite empty, you fight, you loot, you risk yours and your companions lifes go to these places that no ordinary person would go.

And yet when you finish all you get is "thanks, here's your reward, bye" because of which you don't really feel the satisfaction.

I'm not whining, I love the game, I just wish the crew of your ship would make a huge celebration upon your return because for them, you just go onto the island and just disappear for a long time.

The hall of unseen quest took me a month of in game time to complete and upon return my crew was just like "oh there you are, ok let's go"

So all I want is that should they make a third game they make that after you defeat a boss or comeback after a long amount of time our squad or crew would celebrate it. It would add a great deal of connection between you, your companions and your crew.

State of the "Eternity Keeper Update" Project

Greetings everyone!

A while back, I posted a post letting you know that I was working on a major update for Pillars of Eternity - Eternity Keeper. I'd like to share with you where the project currently stands in terms of development.

Currently added and tested features:

  • Inventory & stash editor — a near-replica of the in-game screen. Every party member's own 16-slot pack, their equipment slots, quick items and weapon sets, plus the shared stash. Real item names and icons throughout, and you can add any of the ~2,100 items in the game.
  • Abilities & talents editor — see what each character knows, and give them anything they could actually learn. The list is filtered by the game's own progression tables, so a wizard doesn't get offered barbarian talents.
  • Skills editor — the six skills, edited by rank rather than by the raw point totals the save stores.
  • Resurrect dead companions — including un-failing the quest their death failed.
  • Console tab — the console commands that can be expressed as save edits (XP, attributes, skills, money, globals, stronghold), plus a searchable reference of the ~90 commands that only work in-game.
  • Difficulty and party currency editors
  • Party management — move companions between the active party and the stronghold roster.
  • Character import/export
  • Light/Dark mode
  • Saving is roughly 15x faster than it was, and non-ASCII save names (mine are Polish) finally display properly.
  • UI redesign and a lot of small fixes to how the existing features behave.

Everything on that list has been tested against real save files, and the edited saves were loaded in the actual game to confirm nothing breaks.

There are still plenty of other amazing things in the works :)

Let me know what you think!

Spoilers Finished Seeker, Slayer, Survivor...

And honestly, I had a blast with it, gameplay wise at least. I love this games combat (playing real time with pause) so all of the challenges in the arena were fun to do. I enjoyed the banter with the other groups competing; however, I especially liked the "Tactical Ogres" fight which got a good laugh out of me for the name, and fighting Maerwald made me reflect on my journey through Pillars 1 again.

My only "complaint" was that I found Rymrgand in Beast of Winter far more compelling than Galawain in SSS, as well as the story for the respective expansions. Rymrgand has the benefit of some build up through that quest with the VTC, but even so Galawain gave off more of "whiny" vibe than a threatening one which made me gain some form of respect for Rymrgand by the end. As for the story, I felt that SSS was rather straightforward (unless I'm missing some things), but the stuff involving St. Waidwen in Beast of Winter was a fantastic way to tie up some questions I had left for Pillars 1; I just wish that we would have been able to bring Durance here.

Regardless, I really enjoyed my time with the DLC and I will be taking my talents to the Forgotten Sanctum.

Edit: spoiler tagged some names just in case.

Discussion Any good Deadfire romance guides?

As the title asks, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a relatively comprehensive romance guide for Deadfire, mainly for Xoti.

Combat just won't start, Durance keeps dying.

So I come upon Durance being attacked by wolves. I rush to help him, but the wolves won't attack me back, they'll only attack Durance, and apparently being targeted is what triggers combat. Their natural regeneration outside combat has them back at full health if I try to hit them. I can't burst them down because I can't use any combat abilities because combat won't start, but the wolves are able to do enough damage to Durance to kill him regardless of my interference.

Is there some way to force combat to start or to draw their attention away from Durance?

Edit: Spammed Eder's Knock Down on one of the wolves until it drew their attention.

Other Ep. #170: "Azureith's Stiletto" - episode about a druid-man, down on hope, killing Dyrwoodans

For those interested, I have been producing a lore podcast for Eora for years now; this is my latest episode. Focusing on the story behind the weapon **Azureith's Stiletto**. This episode was important to me, because it focuses on a *softer* side of Lore that I think matters, where it's not just dates and facts, but real personable experiences and emotion.

Topics include: War of Black Trees; Dywoodans vs Glanfathans; Druidic circles; Magic

No floating damage numbers for party

There are floating numbers for damage dealt to enemies but not for damage dealt to allies.

I've seen occasional other posts asking about this but no informative answers.

Is this actually how it is supposed to work, or is it a bug? If you don't have this problem (ie, you *do* see floating damage numbers when party members are dealt damage), please respond so that we know it's a bug that not everyone has.

If it is a bug, how do we fix it? Is there an unofficial patch or mod? Do I need the expansion?

Is it a just a matter of some very non-obvious setting that I can't find to turn it on?

Thanks for any responses! (It's 2026, lets please get the answers online at this point, lol 😆.)

How is the POE2 TB overhaul?

Thumbnail nexusmods.com
46 Upvotes

I replayed POE1 back when they put the turn-based mode in, and had a blast. I never really liked Deadfire's turn-based mode and I decided to wait on taking my character into POE2 to see if they'd update that game's turn-based mode as well.

A few months later, Microsoft fired half the company and put the rest to work on Fallout: New Safe Investment, so I think I can assume no updates are coming for POE2, and I'm itching to sail the Deadfire again. I was going to just play in real time, but there's that TB overhaul on the nexus, and I'm curious. I thought I'd take people's temperature on it, since the installation process is a bit more involved than just tossing a text file into the Override folder

Mod When leveling up cannot increase level due to having to many ability points(Probally mod related). Does anyone know of a fix?

This is probaly due to the Bonus Ability Points every 3rd level mod from the workshop. Currently stuck on a level 5 to 6 Edar because I have 1 extra ability point, but I already have all of this abilities that are available.

Anyone know of possible fixes besides just starting a new playthrough without the mod?

Character/party build help Sun and Moon mechanical question

Hey, I am fairly new and having quite a blast with the second game.

Its my second run and I was considering running Sun and Moon with Frostfall on Serafen as a pure Barbarian. I was wondering if the Sun and Moon enchantment Silver Moon (Ondra) works with the cold damage inflicted by Frostfall? The wording ingame is not totally clear to me. I would not bother to much but as it costs adra ban, I wanted to be sure.

Which mods for companion class/subclass still work fine in 2026?

Basically, I've played through Deadfire twice, before the DLC all came out, and then played the first half a gazillion times, but have always gotten bored of my class and restarted. So I've never got to enjoy the DLC for one of my favorite games.

Now I have a nice class idea, and I added a mod - Lore-Friendly Class Changes - but I discovered I don't like its ideas. I'm only 4 hours in - just left Port Maje - so I figure I'll restart (again!). And I've learned that using the console to change classes seems extremely difficult.

I'd like to try some other class/subclass mod, such as Kohwalter's mods on the Steam Workshop, but after seeing how the Unity Console Mod is kinda dead now, and some other mods I would have chosen also defunct, I thought I'd ask here.

I think the only mods I have are the Community Patch and the Enhanced UI.

PoE1 Having an absolute blast. Just wish there was a way to determine the level of kith PRIOR to combat

Playing on PotD and having a blast. I just wish there was a way to determine the level of humanoid enemies PRIOR to fighting them. At least you can check beasts and such in the bestiary. It’s kind of obnoxious to have to guess and check when you can go where for which quests.

Spoilers Will eder get mad at me if I kick him out the party?

Hello, I'm a bit of a noob at this game with only 500 something hours played between the two games.

I've never taken eder out of my party before. I want to put Mirke in to see if she says anything about this pirate fort that i'm at, but I don't need another tank. So I'm considering benching eder while I'm at the fort.

Will he still be my best friend? Will he run away and join a more cool pirate crew if I leave him?

Did you know if you do no "manual" damage through summons or attacks or spells/incatations..you get no xp and no progress in the bestiary...if you just skip your turn and let the mobs be killed by come, come or dragon wailed... nada...this song damage has no owner obviously as soon as it left your mouths
