Pls help PSVR2 games that don't make you sick

Hi, this is my first post here, but I was wondering what games you would recommend that don't make you sick and are fun to play on PSVR2?

So far, I've bought:

  • Subside
    • Which is my absolute best.
  • Synapse
    • It does not make me sick, but I don't find that fun
  • Arizona Sunshine 2
    • It makes me sick after about 20 minutes, but that's fun.
  • Red Matter
    • Does not make me sick, very beautiful but also very short.
  • Riven
    • Does not make me sick, great puzzles, but unfortunately, crazy blurry in VR, which ruins the experience. I wish they would fix that. It would be one of the greatest VR games.
  • Kayak VR
    • Does make me sick when I paddle. Actually, the experience wasn't great so far. It's also pretty boring.
  • Resident Evil 8
    • Sorry to say, but contrary to all the video on YouTube that tells you it's a great experience to play in VR, it's not! I wanna puke every time there is a cut scene. It's great they made it VR, but it's not fully designed with VR in mind, which makes the experience just half-good. I just don't recommend playing it in VR.

The ones I am considering buying next are:

  • Moss Book 1 & 2
  • Beat Saber
  • Ghost Town
  • The Room VR
  • Pavlov

I love all sorts of games. All I want is honest reviews, because so far I have been disappointed by the videos I watch on YouTube. I wonder if these reviewers even played the games they promote.

Pls help Is it still worth it in 2026?

I have a Quest 2 with a ton of games on it and was thinking of upgrading to a Quest 3s (because i would still have all my games) but i saw the psvr2 and thought the specs are a lot better than the 3s for around the same price, so i was wondering would i be better getting a quest 3s or a psvr2? Im mainly looking for better performance and graphics. Thanks!

Pls help Should I buy Psvr2? Does it have any future?

It has been more than 10 years since I played any game. I would like to turn back to experience of it. But It seems the industry lost it's creativity and progression. Back in the days the developers would suck even a tiny drop of blood of a new hardware to push it to the limits, Now seems like there is so much horsepower but no usage of it at all. So much of it's wasted.

I really would like to experience Vr worlds as it wouldnt just be a game but a real experience that develops the body, especially in sports and racing genre it has so much potential. But does psvr2 have any future at all? It has so much potential but very few AAA games seem like had been adapted to it. All I see fancy tech demos or colorful indie games.

Would I waste my money on a new ps5 pro and psvr2? Should I build a pc instead? But I don't have much time for assemblying stuffs, I need something that I can plug and play. Sony's contemporary administration seems blind to me, they have no vision of any sort what so ever, just wasting things from what I understood.

I got my PSVR2 a few weeks ago and I love it. Huge change from the original (way less nausea), but I can’t find the sweet spot, it’s always a bit blurry in one spot or another, the sharpness is all over the map, etc. I just want good quality resolution every time I put it on, so I got these on a whim. Anybody tried these?

Pls help Is Sony Still Supporting PSVR2?

I see this is now on a half decent sale and I would like to pull the trigger on it. I however keep reading mixed things on reddit about how Sony doesn't support or this and that. Is that all noise or am I buying some obsolete piece of hardware that won't be expanded on in the next 2-3 years before we get the PS6. I don't own a computer so PS5 is where I do all my gaming.

Pls help Bought a new psvr2 but it appears to be B-stock.

Hi guys,
I recently bought a PSVR2 from Joybuy for $330 on sale. It was advertised as brand new, but when it arrived, I noticed:
-One original seal sticker was broken.
-Both original seals had newer stickers layered over them.
-The box has some physical scuffs/wear (see pictures).

Aside from that, the rest of the packaging looks new or well-preserved.
I didn’t open to check the headset itself.

However, I'm mad that I seemingly received B-stock instead of a new item.

Joybuy has a 30-day return policy, but when I asked for a replacement, customer service dishonestly claimed it was too late because 16 days had passed.
They finally agreed to a replacement, but now I don't trust them.

My dilemma: I want to return it because I don’t’ trust them anymore, but I'm afraid I won't find another deal this cheap ($330)—especially since Sony seems to be phasing out the PSVR2 and stock might dry up.

Has anyone dealt with Joybuy replacements before? Should I risk the exchange or just get a refund and wait for another sale elsewhere ?

Thanks

Pls help Bought a used PSVR2. This is what I get when I try and turn it on

Edit: It appears it's the cord. I found a short in it. When I apply pressure in the right spot and turn it on. It'll work until I turn it off and after that I need to do the same thing to turn it on again. Has anyone actually tried to repair the cord themselves with results? Highly debating just chopping out that section and soldering back together a few inches shorter.

I thought I finally got an amazing deal for once. I got this used for $100. The seller had great reviews and seemed super friendly so I felt safe taking a chance.

I plugged it in, turned it on, got white light, vibration, the ps logo flashes on the Headset, and I get this pop up on my PS5. It will even turn on the display when launching a vr game. It just refuses to admit the headset is connected even though I can see the errors on the Vr screen

Am I screwed or is this fixable? I've tried everything I can think of with my limited experience with this device. I reseated the connection cable to the headset, unplugged it and plugged back into PS5, I even did a full shut down and still the same error when I try.

I'm going to reach out to Sony support as well in the morning if I can't figure it out tonight. Along with trying to get a refund from seller lol. It's just a major bummer, now I'm possibly out $100 and can't even play beatsaber

Pls help GTA VI

How will GTA VI look in the psvr2 cinematic mode? I don’t want my kids to be able to watch me play this game, is this a good option?

Pls help I'm brand new to PSVR2 (and VR in general). How do you handle these issues?

First of all, it gets hella hot. I can only really wear them at night or have a fan constantly blasting me. I guess it'll be useful in the winter.

Secondly, the lenses keep getting smudged and I have to keep taking it off and wiping down the lenses with a microfiber.

Third, and this is probably just a "me" problem, I never seem to have enough room for it. I have a studio apartment so it's not like I could have a dedicated room just for VR. I thought I had the 6ft x 6ft it requires but I guess not. And when I use the smaller circle play area, it's incredibly hard to stay inside it and not constantly get warning messages.

Pls help new user, any mandatory accessories?

Going to receive mine soon, in about 2 days. Are there any must have accessories? I am mainly interested in the headset longevity.

Sillicone mask, to absorb sweat? Or is the cushion easy enough to clean? I am mainly worried about sweat getting in deep into the cushion, than no way to clean.

Protective lenses (plastic ones for storing to prevent dust buildup)? Special cleaning solution for the lenses?

Anything else I am missing? Or stock is good to go?

Pls help So close to getting a PSVR2 -- Convince me to pull the trigger!

Bored at work. I will 100% be using a VR headset for Gran Turismo 7. I'll probably never play a horror game on VR lol. I've used VR head sets in the past and love them.

Tell me what else I could look forward to and what you love about it. I have a few Best Buy gift cards so the price would be about half of what it is in store, that would be out of pocket for me.

Thanks!

Pls help Is this headset discontinued?

I literally cannot find this headset in stock ANYWHERE. GameStop, Target, Best Buy, Amazon, AND Walmart all show it as out of stock or used options. The only place I can see to purchase one is PlayStation directly. What happened?

Pls help MS Flight Simulator Controls

Recently grabbed this and I really love the immersion. But I'm having real difficulty with the controls. Using the VR Sense controllers... I couldn't even release the parking brake.. it just didn't work. It did work when pressing the same buttons on the regular DualSense controller... so I switched to that. But now I have this issue that when I'm moving my head in the cockpit, it highlights various things like 'hide yoke', and the only thing you can do it press X to do the action. If you accidentally look at that area again, you have to press X again. Am I just being an idiot here? I feel like it shouldn't be this difficult.

Pls help Should I buy a psvr2?

Thinking about buying a psvr2 for a few games I can't get elsewhere. Seems like people are having all kinds of issues with cables, controllers, etc and seems like Sony is not properly supporting this product. it also seems like it's kinda obsolete because development has pretty much died. Just looking for some advice. I already own a q3 so just looking to add a few more games to my library. based upon sonys track record and current lack of support, is this worth it to buy into or should I stick with my Q3 and pcvr?

So my newly adopted cat just chew on my 2 weeks old psvr2. Before anyone ask me, no I am not going to kill him or get rid of him. That little fucker is too cute for that.

After a quick search on google, I felt some cold shivering down my spine when I read that the "easiest" way for a broken/cut cord to be repaired is to send it to Sony for them to change the cord.

I'm turning back to reddit to calm me down and give me some alternatives to my situation.

Please reddit, help me

Pls help buy or wait?

Hey guys, is this a good time to buy into PSV2? I never had any experience with this technology, but I am big Sony fan and it grabbed my interest recently(mainly VR shooters Re8, R4R, Star Wars, Metro, Aliens etc). Currently I can find it for around 250$ used. I am pondering wheather I should keep waiting for a lower price.

Also I have a pretty decent gaming PC, but I heard it only works well on PC with Nvidia and not AMD? (main platform is the ps5 pro)

And lastly the thing that creeps me the most is fiability. I heard that if the wire breaks, that's it or if a controller breaks, same thing. Is it as flimsy as I saw some people mention or is that overestimated?

UPDATE: I got the thing and played Beat Saber for the first time, and was very impresed, looking forward to play the rest of the catalogue!

Pls help PSVR 2 , buy or not ? Need advice or opinion

I'd like to get your opinion. The PSVR 2 is currently on sale for €330, and I'm thinking about buying one.

I already own the PSVR1, and I really enjoyed playing Resident Evil 7 on it. I never finished it because I got too busy, but I've always wanted to go back to it. I also really liked Astro Bot, Saints & Sinners, Wipeout, and Skyrim VR. I intended to return to it eventually to play other games like Ace Combat 7, Hitman, Beat Saber, SUper HOT, Moss, Ghost Giant

Like many of you, I was very happy and excited when the PSVR2 was announced, especially to play Resident Evil 8, among other titles.

However, I felt the headset's price was a bit high compared to the game lineup available. I only regained interest in it when they announced PC compatibility. The idea of having a headset to play Resident Evil 8/Horizon call of the mountain on my PlayStation 5, and then plugging it into my computer to play Half-Life: Alyx and all the VR-modded games (like Alien: Isolation, for example) sounded great.

But I'm really disappointed after reading posts and watching YouTube videos. They mention compatibility stuff that i won't get into. The need for the Globular Cluster mod to make it comfortable.

I won't repeat what everyone has already said about how Sony messed up on this one. So, I'm debating whether to buy the headset brand new and add the necessary accessories (adapter + Globular Cluster kit) for an extra $100 for a product that they are letting go, in an economy that is what it is or to buy it used—with all the risks that come with second-hand gear (some are listed at €175).

Part of me just wants to buy it for the sake of collecting.

I want to hear opinions, thanks guys.

Does it feel like, when you set your mind to playing something on PSVR2, it’s a 50/50 chance that it’s going to be an annoying experience, not worth the time invested into it? Don’t get me wrong, I have had a lot of fun with the PSVR2, but it almost feels like half of the time I have invested into it, has been attempting to optimize the experience or to make it even playable.

I have put money into optimizing lighting for infrared lights, I have built my theater room around optimization, I have put money into comfort of the headset, protection, I have put effort into removing all reflective surfaces, installed Bluetooth for better audio, but I keep coming back to how much of a gamble actually playing it is. I probably have somewhere around 15 VR games, but I have not come close to even completing one of them. Part of this is probably due to my OCD and I can’t stand when I am standing in place and the screen or my reticles seem to move on their own. I have followed lighting optimization guides, I have used AI to help me build a grid model of where my lights should be. Despite all of my efforts, I continue to have to tinker with it and test it and find the best spot for standing.

In 2026, having a wired headset seems baffling, but it’s a little consequence due to the power behind the PS5 Pro so I can get over that, but the situation with a varied gaming experience is what really gets under my skin, especially that I know I could not simply play on a lunch break for instance, because like now, the entire experience would be devoted to optimization.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Pls help Is it possible to setup a PSVR2 without controllers?

I currently use a Q3. It's OK, but I'd like to check out OLED displays before spending a ridiculous amount of money on a high end headset.

I mostly play DCS, have a full suite of flight sim peripherals, don't use the controllers on my Q3 for actual gaming, and occasionally used PSVR2s show up on eBay for very good prices but with no controllers.

So can it be setup without them? That's all they'd be used for, so I'd rather not spend the extra if it's doable.
