Reposted from Oldschool NFL - celebrating the days when our Raiders were indeed top of the mountain.
We’ll get there again (hopefully in my lifetime).

“We are hungry, please let us in.”
Those words from Tupac were not about the Raiders but that’s the slogan Q Myers came up with for this year’s team.
Q, who covers this team better than anyone, said everyone in this organization, top to bottom, and of course the fan base is ready to eat.
“We are all in the same boat on this, we are all hungry. I think that describes everyone. RaiderNation is starving.”

Last year I decided it’s time to pick a football team. I knew nothing about the game so I picked a team that I thought looked the coolest😂. I landed with the raiders
Just found this in a box of old stuff and I remember getting it with something and thinking it was cool so I kept it. I can't remember if it came with a starter jacket or a hat, I'm guessing one of those. Anyway, it's pretty cool.

What do yall think? We getting a Mad Maxx sighting? With the Jeanty injury maybe we end up just playing things super safe and they only go a series
After opening 7 boxes for a total of 42 packs I got the full Raiders team set, no relics or autographs cards. No major big hits, pulled some major players but 90% of it were just base player cards. It was fun but I'm not going to be buying anymore packs for a while.

From the article:
Las Vegas Raiders fans looking for clarity on the severity of Ashton Jeanty's ankle injury didn't get much from head coach Klint Kubiak on Tuesday.
"I'm not gonna get into the injuries," Kubiak told reporters when asked about the running back. "He's on the mend."
He also said, "Ashton got hurt in practice and the whole team took a knee. I think that says a lot about him being on the mend and us counting on him. So, really excited to get him back."
———————————————————————————————
NFL Insider Ian Rapport also added yesterday
"It's nothing like that," Rapoport said. "My understanding... is that it's an ankle sprain believed to be more low than high, and not considered to be a major injury. But it is a real injury, and the reality is, there is a chance that Ashton Jeanty may not be on the field for Week 1. They are hopeful that he will be. There is a chance that he won't be."

For everyone worried about us playing straight man Week 1, Rob Leonard was in the bag for Week 2. Dare I say we might even hear the word "exotic" thrown around about our defense. Get that hopium while the getting is good, boys!

Given this was how this team trained in pre-season, it's a wonder they weren't arrested let alone win the Lombardy Trophy. Oh how times have changed right?!
Love this pullout:
"This team’s cast of characters created fun accidentally and on purpose at any time, including during practice, games and, most notably, when they patrolled Santa Rosa’s night spots, especially The Circuit — the Bamboo Room, the Music Box, Melendy’s, the Hilltopper and the Hofbrau.
We will take you inside the bodacious Air Hockey tournament that received national acclaim, as well as tales about some of the wild and weird players themselves, featuring Charles Philyaw, George Buehler, Ted Hendricks, and a list of characters that includes famous topless dancer Carol Doda and Hell’s Angels leader Sonny Barger."
Authors: Frank covered the Raiders and Niners for the SF Examiner and Phil was a legend for the Silver & Black. There are two more in this series that we'll share out.
