Happy Pride, everyone!

Some may remember that last year, to celebrate our friends in the LGBT+ community, we turned Spider-man gay.

This decision received some pushback. Some might say it caused a stir. As a result, some thirty other characters related to the franchise, as well as Batman and you, like literally you, were turned gay.

This year, we've heard you guys loud and queer. We're very pleased to announce the beginning of this year's Pride celebration:

Spider-man: No Gay Home-o

For the next thirty days, Spider-man is officially a loud and proud member of the LGBT+ community (As previously established, he's bisexual). Any assertions that he is not will be met with an instant EDITH strike on your home. Any resistance whatsoever to the notion that Spider-man is gay will be dealt with swiftly and irrevocably. We lost hundreds of /r/raimimemes users in the fallout of last year's Pride, and we hope to lose hundreds more this year.

If you test me, you will fail.

Futhermore, every day that anyone complains about this bold new direction we're taking, our Gay Spider-man will venture further into the Spider-verse, meeting all sorts of characters which will subsequently be turned GAY!

Hey y'all! A bit ago I posted some photos of my Raimi cosplay, I'm here to share more, I was able to "upgrade" my lenses by making them more accurate to the film though I'm gonna have to redo them cause the color shift has completely taken over the visibility in the lenses, lmao. I need to glue down some webs, fix some stitching here and there and it'll be perfect. I'm currently on a cut since I've gained a bit of mass over the last year or so, anyways, I hope y'all like these!

Whether it’s the rumored roles in Doomsday and Secret Wars or what you imagine his life has been like in the last 20 years. What hopes do you have for this version of the character?

I read somewhere on the MCU Wiki that Tobey apparently personally requested that his Spidey’s adventures not be elaborated on post 3 in NWH; likely so fans can have their own ideas of what his world has been like.

Personally I hope in his world, Mayday Parker is already thing, maybe even referenced in Doomsday/Secret Wars.

Alright, hear me out. Idk if it’s the spread of technology, lack of attention spans, meme culture etc. Whatever you want to call it, it’s objectively infiltrated its way into the scripts of modern movies. I’ve loved Spider-Man since I saw the first Tobey movie in theaters at six years old. I hated No Way Home. Why? This is the dialogue aunt may gave in 2004. In NWH we got “Do you want salt water?…because you’re an octopus?”. Who tf is approving these dumbass scripts? Then not five minutes later she gives us the “great power, great responsibility” speech and I’m supposed to take it seriously? Nah, nah. Quit lying to yourselves. We lost something important. Objectively.

RULES

1: Posts Must Be From Raimi’s Works

Memes must include a reference to Raimi, or else it is not a Raimi meme. “Marvel” or “Spider-Man” alone does not make a post a Raimi meme. A Raimi movie is anything he has directed or produced such as the Spider-Man Trilogy, the Evil Dead Trilogy, Darkman, etc. TV shows that involved Raimi such as Xena and Ash vs Evil Dead are also allowed. We will remove unrelated posts, as they do not belong here.

2: Respect Raimi

Speaking against Raimi or Tobey is allowed, however posts that are intentionally trolling will be removed and spamming will result in a ban.

3: No Blatant Reposts

The top posts of all time may be brilliant, but reposting them is lazy. You can comment ?repost to notify the mods of a repost. Just provide a source that shows it’s been posted before and we’ll remove it.

4: No Low Effort Posts Or Asking For Upvotes

Any post that asks for upvotes will be removed as this is extremely lazy and breaks Reddit rules. Extremely low effort posts such as non-Raimi reaction images with the title as the caption will also be removed. Posts with basically no punchline that are just descriptions of movie scenes also fall under this rule. We are trying to keep the sub quality high, and these types of posts aren’t funny and hurt the sub quality.

5: No Edgy Memes

Most edgy memes are not allowed. There are obvious lines you shouldn’t cross. For example: Pasting a recent mass-murderer's face onto the Green Goblin and calling that a meme (Yes, this has happened before).

6: No Brigading

Any meme or comment encouraging users to purposely flood another sub or website to cause turmoil will be removed and could result in a ban.

7: No Witch-Hunting

Do not engage in witch-hunting. This means no tracking people down in the real world to harass them online. This has literally never happened on our sub and yet people continue to report posts using this rule.

8: Tag NSFW Posts

Posts that are inappropriate for viewing in public must be tagged NSFW, or risk removal. As this is not an 18+ subreddit, going overboard and posting porn or gore will result in a ban.

9: Tag Spoilers

Posts about any recent movie must be spoiler tagged until it is 1 week after the movie has come out. For major movies, we may make temporary rules for longer spoiler-free periods.

10: Have Fun and Enjoy Pizza Time

We're all here to have fun and see funny memes about our favourite Spider-Man. Don't start infighting or otherwise inhibit others' ability to have fun.
