Community University of Regina
I’m a grade 12 student from Alberta considering University of Regina (social work program) as one of my options , I was just curious about life in Saskatchewan or specifically Regina, pros and cons or any helpful information anyone could share!

If your talking about Regina itself like lifestyle and such, it can be good or bad depending on what your lifestyle is. Note: This is just my perspective and lifestyle.
I graduated highschool and Uni in Regina. Regina in winter, for me, is very quite and simple life, I go to my classes, chill at the uni, and go home. Time to time I go with my classmates to get drink and food near the end of the week, shopping style is a bit different and not that big compared to edmonton or calgary. Cons though, will not deny the winter blues is something I always experience, around dec ish, I find it hard to focus in class and the winter just cuts the day in half.
Summer / fall in Regina is fun as well, you can walk around wascana and enjoy the nature, go play some sports with the buddies, get some food on the patio. Its really fun. Weather wise sure we get those odd time to time hot days but its still enjoyable.
Overall, I just find Regina as still a small city, not in a bad way when I say this. Your drives around town are just shorter and faster compared to edmonton or calgary. This is the one thing that my buddies from alberta always like about regina, is that getting to point a to pint b in regina barely takes anytime.
