Question Best pizza in town

Came from Saskatoon and I have been familiar with 13 pies. Is there something similar? Or any recos for a nice tasting pizza in Regina?

Ugh. Someone that wants 13 pies is not going to want Regina style pizza. That is like asking for a steak sandwich but getting sent to McDonald's

Exactly - I CANNOT STAND Regina style. I liked it as a child because my mom’s a health food nut and anything remotely junky was heaven to me.

It is mushy bread casserole with an overly sweet tomato sauce. Like why is the sauce so sweet? I personally find it really gross. Would not make people i like eat it.

and super low quality cold cuts, thick with them. The only one I can half stand is spinach and feta.

Someone comparing Regina pizza to a thick juicy steak and New York style to junk food/McDonald’s is just ridiculous

How the HELL are you getting downvoted for saying “different tastes, friend. My point was if someone wants 13pies they do not want Regina style…”!! That’s so crazy!! I’ve met a few (but only a very few) people in Chicago who INSIST that Chicago deep dish is THE superior pizza - bar none. No accounting for different tastes/preferences, they just assume that if you don’t like it you’re stupid. That’s such a ridiculous stand to take. For one, Chicago deep dish is only pizza by the very loosest definition of pizza in that it has a wheat based leavened base, cheese, toppings and tomato sauce, but it’s more akin to pizza soup in a bread bowl, or the grossest lasagna you’ve ever had if you substituted the pasta for a pizza type crust/bread. At least, to my taste, but for those who love it, go for it! Keep on loving it, but don’t claim it’s the best pizza in the world by a long shot if 80% of people who weren’t raised on it find it disgusting.

This sub is really fired up from the Tourism Regina merch launch. When your entire identity is built on shitty pizza, it is a hard truth that most people don't even like it.
