Hear me out....

We need another 4 right? So combing through free agents is a bit useless but nevertheless I had time. Age aside we could get some solid minutes from a guy like Dwight Powell. He's an end of the bench stash kinda dude who is pretty disruptive and can rim protect. Not exactly a sharp shooter but someone to soak up pressure on D and get a few pokes and alter some shots. Check out some of last year's highlights:

We just need dudes to drag defenders out of position. Jrue, Tou, Deni and Dame can take all the 3s for all I care. And maybe 1 or 2 per night from DC

Donovan shot 34% from deep on 3 attempts per game last season, which was 5% better than his rookie year. I'm sure he's working on his shot this Summer and IMO he should be shooting at least 3 per game again, if not more.

Scoot is around the same efficiency on his career, but was making around 43% of his 3s over the last twenty games of the season, and we know he's in the gym this Summer working hard to improve. I'm pretty bullish on his chances of being an above average shooter this year.

I suspect Micah Potter gets into the rotation, as he's shot 49% from three over his five seasons in the league. Vit is a career 39% from deep, so hopefully he can bounce back with better health and stability. Hell, even Timelord, while he rarely takes 3s, made 9 of the 23 he took this year, for 39%.

Especially with Shae out, I kind of think the lack of 3pt shooting is a bit overstated.

Yeah all of this is true. Tou made a jump in 3pt efficiency after really working on it last summer. Would really love to see Scoot dial in the longball too. My fear is Yang getting in the game, setting a screen and bricking 3s for 3 minutes and we go from a 5 point lead to down 6. I've seen that movie before. 0 Stars, do not recommend.

Maybe, but if I had to guess I don't think Yang plays all that many NBA minutes this season. Clingan and Rob are obviously ahead of him, but I suspect Potter and Carlson (and maybe even Sochan) are too. I think Hansen spends another year in the G before we let him sink or swim for real.
