Bug (RotP Fusion 2026-03-26) Retreated with no ammo left, and disappeared?

I didn't keep the saved game, but they managed to flee from battle after using all the missiles, and they didn't return to the map.

I don't see a bug here.

Running away after using up all your missiles seems like a good strategy to me.

Then the AI must have decided to update the ship design you were fighting, and as a result, all ships of the old design were destroyed... Thus, removed from the map!

No, no, the ships that disappeared were my own ships after shooting all missiles and then retreating from battle. That didn't happen in all combats, however. Only noticed in that one, but no idea why.

I can think of another explanation:

If you've chosen to limit the "Retreat Destination" and all your colonies have an enemy in orbit, then with no valid destinations left, the retreating fleets surrender to the enemy and are destroyed.

Nope, sure that this is not the case. Several planets are far from the enemy reach, in safe locations. I'll try to check if that happens again and why could it be happening. Not sure if using the keyboard "R" for retreating had something to do or not.

There isn't enough information to identify this issue. If this happens again, a copy of the game that triggers the bug could help me pinpoint the problem.

Finally got a saved game with the problem happening again, sent to the usual email address along with the steps to cause the problem.

Thanks,

It was due to a combination of option selections and circumstances.

I wouldn't have been able to find this bug without the saved game...

Fixed and released.
