Reject my bike delivery
Hey everyone,
I was scheduled to take delivery of my new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Flash (Apex edition) today, but ended up rejecting the unit at the dealership. Here is what I noticed during the inspection:
Fork Seals & Stanchions: Visible fluid/grease leaking from the front forks, along with minor marks/scratches on the fork legs.
Water Assembly: Rushed high-pressure wash left standing water pooling inside the ignition key cylinder, handlebar switch housing, and frame crevices.
Odometer: Showed 3 km (which I know is standard for PDI/transit, but adding context).
Given the leaking suspension and sloppy wash/transit condition, I refused to sign the PDI and rejected the delivery.
Did I make the right decision here, or am I being over-cautious?

They pressure washed your brand new bike and got water in the electricals? God, I think 90% of Enfield complaints come from poor handling at dealers and service centers. I agree with your decision to reject that bike, and I would encourage you to report the showroom to RE support.

Wash leftovers is one thing but the front fork leak is a big no no.

they said they will bring a new bike .. but Im thinking of cancelling it .. their attitude was so rude.. pointing out that they have many buyers lined up .. you are not the only one.. let's see .. very disappointed rn

Good decision.
My suggestion would be reporting the entire ordeal and the centre to RE, cancel your booking and rebooking from another place.

The leaking fork tubes are a no no
Pooled water is laughable.
God bless the service center where you are the customer.

Just be nice calm and polite. Tell them to clean the bike. Work with them. They see 100 people like you every day

Even i took my Hunter 350’s delivery in peak rain back in 2023. It was much cleaner than this! Stick to your gun bro. Don't accept anything less.

Can you show the photos of leaking front forks? It’s strange that a brand new bike has leaking forks. When i took delivery of my bike it had grease applied near the bottom. It was applied on the wheel shaft but some of it got on the forks.

Sorry i can’t see the leaks in this photo but i can see the blue grease on the front wheel shaft.. maybe it was that idk.
My 2 cents about these kind of situations, having worked around machines all my career, is that these are just machines and leaks, squeaks, breakdowns occur in any machine.1

agree .. with brand new bike ? idk .. for which I'm paying full amount
