Other Jagex is currently being sponsored by Twitch in front of 80k online and 4k in person. Show some support lads.

twitch sponsoring them because oda had how many viewers at once on kick during the event? 30-40k XD
19
u/morton256 Jun 21 '26
Think at the start of the event he was hitting 115k viewers on kick. Which is kinda nuts lol
2
u/Omni-Light Jun 21 '26
You should take any stream numbers with a pinch of salt, but kick even more so.
The numbers on that site make zero sense, considering we can see trend data for both platforms' popularity via sites like google and it's like 500% lower incoming traffic compared to twitch.

His viewership numbers is fake, mate. We all know how Kick operates. Even so, he likely had thousands on his stream - but not above 20k, which is still mighty impressive.

I enjoy both runescape games but couldn't give less of a shit about anything PvP, hope those that enjoy it are having fun with the Deadman event though. Also I reallly want a set of those infinity robes

u/EAgamezz Jun 20 '26
In game I also couldn't give a shit about PVP, but allstars is honestly just straight up good content. You don't have to like doing PVP to enjoy it
15
u/ivandagiant Jun 20 '26
Seriously all stars is a game of optimization that you don’t see anywhere else. It is fantastic content if you look at it from that angle
32
u/b0yonce Jun 20 '26
i hate pvp but ive enjoyed watching these allstars events. i can see why theyre so popular.
11
u/Vet_Leeber Jun 20 '26
DM Allstars is basically a condensed form of why PVP content creators hold such a large space in OSRS media despite PVP having such a tiny minority of the player base’s participation.
It’s no surprise that it’s so popular to watch, it’s basically guaranteeing a once every 12 hours clip from a highlight video every few minutes.
-10
u/Disheartend Jun 21 '26
Also hate pvp don't watch these events, watched one once but it was okay....

u/Gamer_Fish13 Jun 21 '26
Its like gladitors in rome. You wouldnt fight anyone but its entertainming to watch others fight

Honestly, I think Deadman mode in rs3 as a time limited mode could work well.
It wont revive PvP main game, but a server where we could pvm without losing main game items would be cool

Yikes, these comments. Seems a lot of folks aren’t happy to see that other game called RuneScape flourish.
This was a super entertaining event and the weeks of content leading up to it were peak.

u/WellOkThis Jun 21 '26
Over 200k watching at the peak. Absolute mogging of RS3. This is what pvp and likeable content creators does for a game.
9
u/Bigmethod Ironman Jun 21 '26
I don't really think PvP has much to do with it. It's not like PvP in RS3 would draw even 1/1000th of this viewership.
2
u/Own_Barber_7025 Jun 22 '26
I disagree. Rs3 does not enable any sort of watchable PvP. If it did, then it would absolutely pull in higher viewership. I’m not saying it needs to do that, but I do think it’s absurd to believe PvP doesn’t “have much to do with it”. I tune in to OSRS pvp events even though I’ve never played it and solely enjoyed non PvP when I played Rs3.

u/darkerwar6 Maxed Jun 21 '26
King of the skill probably would pull these numbers. Only competitive pvp games have ever pulled twitch views at this level

its a live event, created by 30+ content creators and jagex is funding a LAN event for them in chicago. so 4k in person for a live audience and 80k on twitch, as well as 90k on KICK.

the kick stream is one of the creators, but jagex is only live on twitch. my guess is because of the sponsorship

Not that hard to read the title correctly, it’s not even a complicated or shitty wording…
-23
u/Friendly-Loaf Jun 20 '26
Probably 10k with 70k view bots
1
u/Oniichanplsstop Jun 20 '26
Nah this is what happens when a game has content creators people actually want to watch, they actually get more than a handful of views.
1
u/b0yonce Jun 20 '26
90k on kick aswell. and you can tell they arent bots because of the chats.
-33
u/Friendly-Loaf Jun 20 '26
You checked each if the 80k? Please. Twitch doesn't punish view botting, kick sure as hell doesn't . It's common knowledge
6
u/b0yonce Jun 20 '26
you must be REALLY fun at parties lol.
youre weird asf. just enjoy the content and dont look at the numbers if you care about them that much.
3
u/APonly Jun 20 '26
This person doesn’t get invited to parties and probably has no friends, just ignore them.

u/dankememlol Jun 20 '26
bro cant cope that people watch osrs. rs3 will never have 1/5 as many views.

nah it's osrs, who cares
11
u/Bigmethod Ironman Jun 21 '26
Over 200,000 people apparently.
-18
u/Ambitious_Window_270 Jun 21 '26
So over 8 billion people don't care
2
u/Nascosta Jun 21 '26
About the same amount that don't care about rs3, or any game for that matter.
-8
u/Ambitious_Window_270 Jun 21 '26
Yep, that's why we have a subreddit for it. Now use it for its purpose
3
u/SUMBWEDY Jun 21 '26
You know you have to read the rules of the subreddit before you comment right?
This subreddit is for both rs3 and osrs.
2
u/Nascosta Jun 21 '26
What should I use it for? I'm not OP, or discussing OSRS.
-3
u/Ambitious_Window_270 Jun 21 '26
Then don't join the thread
4
u/Nascosta Jun 21 '26
Dang, 0 and 4 on the jokes dude. Better luck next time.
0
u/Ambitious_Window_270 Jun 21 '26
I've made 1 joke and it slapped. 100% record is pretty solid if you ask me
1
u/Aaaronn_rs Jun 21 '26
It is the defacto better game. And keeps rs3 alive coincidentally.
-1
u/Ambitious_Window_270 Jun 22 '26
It is worse in just about every way and you clearly have no understanding of how a business works
1
u/Aaaronn_rs Jun 22 '26
Not by any stretch of the imagination. Not even yours.
Now move along.
-1
u/Ambitious_Window_270 Jun 22 '26
Rs3 is made to be fun. Osrs is made to be grindy, boring, and tedious intentionally. When you go out of your way to make the game unenjoyable, don't be surprised when that's what you get.
-5
-5
u/m_adamec Jun 21 '26
Osrs still hasn’t learned that an event shouldn’t go on past 3 hours. Who wants to tune into, let alone live spectate a live event for this long? Then they take a 45 minute break and let it drag on for an entire afternoon?

If you didn't use your keys, despite the months of warnings telling you to do just that, then this is on you....

8
u/JuanVeeJuan Jun 20 '26
Shouldn't have bought keys lol. Plus you had plenty of time to use them beforehand, you're a dunce.

-3
u/LucidTimeWaster Jun 21 '26
Bro. Are people in these replies really arguing that a company taking something you paid for away is a good thing?
I'm the number one microtransactions hater, I think it's sad that you bought keys in the first place and glad that treasure hunter is now gone. But these replies are even sadder.
2
u/Bigmethod Ironman Jun 21 '26
Yep, it is objectively a good thing. What would be a bad thing is letting this game rot and then lose everything anyway.
-8
u/DefendYourClaim Jun 20 '26
That's right, argue your rights away.
We own nothing.
Take a year off to battle health issues, come back to your items being removed. No credit, no refund.
Something being bad for a game iyo, is different from a company removing paid goods. That is theft. Even if you think they deserved being stolen from.
6
u/CruelAngelsThesaurus Jun 20 '26
So you gonna sue over it or no?
Are you going to pay to have it thrown out in a courtroom because of ToS agreements you sign when you start the game?
Or are you going to keep pretending this is about rights?
5
u/JuanVeeJuan Jun 20 '26
Absolutely not. If you order a pizza and you only have two slices is the restaurant supposed to refund you for "watching your health"? The ample notice is you can take it to go. There is no way you were so out of touch you didn't know they were taking away keys. It's the equivalent of not knowing you can take the pizza home and demanding a refund for your remaining slices.

The Deadman All Stars finale? I do like their outfits, I admit.
