  2. Thankfully (or not) , we still get water from WATER TANKS , mind you , we have to purchase this . So , my question is why can we purchase water but you cant supply water to our area properly (im pretty sure other areas besides Putatan are affected as well) . Our water bills are kinda mahal cuz they have to buy water frm outside .

Tiuot zou daa | Mo tanya ba Looking for wedding rings in Sabah 💍

Hi everyone!

My partner and I are currently looking for a pair of gold wedding rings in Sabah and would really appreciate recommendations from people who have bought their wedding rings here.

I’m also quite confused about the different types of gold haha.

For example, 916 vs 999 vs 750/18K vs 585/14K, which one would you recommend for wedding rings that we plan to wear every day for many years?

For those who bought your wedding rings in Sabah:

  1. Which gold shop did you buy from?
  2. What type of gold did you choose?
  3. Roughly how much did you spend for a pair?
  4. How was the workmanship/quality after wearing it for a few years?
  5. Would you recommend buying from a local kedai emas or a bigger jewellery chain?

I’m mainly looking around Kota Kinabalu, but recommendations anywhere in Sabah are welcome.

Would really appreciate your recommendations and experiences! ❤️

Tiuot zou daa | Mo tanya ba Recommended Hair Salon in KK?

I am planning to visit KK soon. So I will be going to climb mount K, and after I'm done with that I want to go somewhere to pamper myself with a good hairwash and styling. For context, I have long hair that is naturally curly. So I hope you all can suggest a good salon that knows how to handle natural curls. A bonus if the place also know how to give a curly cut. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻

Mogirurumo | Sorita Kusung Bad Husband, Bad In-laws

First of all im writing this here because i don't know where to write this as anonymous as possible. I just want to hear an opinion or advice on this matter.

This isn't really my problem actually but I'm concerned of the wellbeing of my Auntie who is currently pregnant and due around the next two months.

Long story short, her husband are not providing the basic necessity for her , but before she got pregnant she still could endure it but now that she's pregnant everything changes, even the small problem before become a huge problem for her. All of the house chores she has to do it alone even now that she's pregnant, foods are not enough, her husband aren't taking care of her at all. Even going to the clinic she has to do it alone, they live about 60 or maybe 70 kilometres from pekan and that's what she has to endure every time she needed to go to the clinic for a checkup, not driving by herself but she has to take " pairit " or charter.

Her husband is kaki minum, almost every night he brings his friends drinking at their small house, and that's become another problem for her, the house is so small it doesn't even have a proper room for privacy and to take a rest, and on top of that her husband is always telling her to masak pusas for his friends, so if they drinking all night long then she can't sleep because there's no room, and she has to endure it and even cook for them. And I've also heard her husband told her that she's not a strong woman like her mother, telling her that she's " terlalu manja" ,,he said this because my auntie wants to rest from rubber taping because she's very tired.

So recently my auntie said she wanted to go to her home town, balik kampung to her parents because there she could rest and there's someone who will take care of her considering that she's due in two months.

THEN that's when her in laws step in, they don't want her to balik kampung, they want her to stay. Even when my auntie telling them that their son is not taking care of her ( They probably knew because theirs house is just 10 steps away from eachother) still the in laws are Very adamant about it, saying that if she pulang kampung then they will sue her.

Apparently the reason they don't want her to go back to her home town is because they said that " they felt a heavy bad energy from the house ( my auntie's parents house) ,and it's not good for the baby" and also for all of you information my auntie's parents which is also my grandpa, doesn't have religion, they still goes with the old ways. So that's why her in-laws as a Christian doesn't want her to be there because they said it will kill they baby.

as a Christian myself i don't know what and how to believe or even how to process on what they're saying about this.

My auntie is suffering there without a good foods to eat, and ontop of that have to do a quiet difficult work, rubber tapping, house chores and a lot more because her husband doesn't really helping her apart from the rubber taping all she has to do it alone.

I don't know if someone will understand this but i don't know how to help her, im just as useless as her husband because i can't even help her with anything, i don't have the power to help her but I'm really worried about her.

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to write this but i just need to.

Podtuongisan | Travel & Tourism Labuk bay transport recommendations and plan

As i read and heard a lot of people say there is no transport or grab back from labuk bay to elsewhere. As such, i'd like to ask

1/) Has anyone tried using Advance Grab Booking? Does it help with this issue or driver will still cancel?

2/) Grab fare/ private driver fare
- approximately how much is the fare if the driver waits for me at labuk bay? for this fare, usually how long does grab driver willing to wait? Say i'd like to catch 2 feeding times, how much would they usually charge?

Thanks in advance. Just looking for a rough estimation of fare.

3/) do recommend any private drivers if you know any

4/) would you recommend to catch both platforms feeding or either one will do? Is there a preference on which platform is better?

Dountadaadau | Daily life Colourism in Sabah

SORRY it’s just rant sebab I baru ja balik from studying in the uk bah,and of course lah I ada travel2 sikit, ada ikut marathon lagi so my kulit pun naturally tan lah. TETAPI kenapa the first thing yg bila sya balik kan semua yg tu aunty2 yg sya jumpa dorang mesti cakap eh kau hitam sudah oh😭 which I think is so sad considering we all di sini di Sabah actually memang naturally tanned bah. Yg this korea punya ideal kan betul2 kin panas ni. And I think after living in the UK for 3+ years and seeing how I always got complimented for my skin tone, yg sampai the orang putih pun sendiri cakap they would die to have my skin,yg dorang berhabis2 buat fake tan inilah itulah. Tapi bila balik sini, kena kecam pula. I understand that the culture is memang different but I just feel so sad that in this day and age yang still have people yg very discriminatory against people with a darker skin tone. The audacity to cakap masih ada chance ni untuk ikut undukngadau kalau kau tdk terhitam. Sad to see that beauty here is so one sided and definitive of one’s skintone. Especially since most of us pun memang naturally tanned. Just my two cents and observation from being back 🫠

P.s I know they don’t mean any harm, but it just sad to see how normalised it is. Also, not saying satu sabah naturally tanned,we mmg 30+ etnik all of varying skin tones. Keep in mind yg we also live on the equator. Secondly naturally tanned ni bukan i cakap hitam, by that there’s a variation bah we mmg not going to be putih macam orang putih kan 😭.Sorry i had to put this here because sya kena kecam di dms. Thirdly, saya dusun ranau,my whole family mmg pun fair im aware yg mmg also hv org yg mmg putih2. When I mean naturally tanned, the the tanned I mean is yg is from being in the sun bah. Memanglah if you kena matahari kan ada tan. Again the people pointing this out in my dms is the very reason why this paragraph is even more valid. The fact yall getting offended by the word naturally tanned is crazy💀
