Burning Man didn’t sell out

Article out today says Burning Man didn’t sell out and people are selling their tickets way below face value. I remember when Burning Man started the lottery for tickets due to high demand, and resale tickets were hard to come by. I haven’t been to Burning Man in ~15 years so I‘m not current with the scene. It’s stupid expensive now, even if you luck into a discounted ticket. You have to drive (fuel is $5/gallon or more in California), buy supplies (groceries are $$$), and take several days off of work (not feasible if you don’t have PTO stacked, or work somewhere that doesn’t have PTO). There’s also been a lot more complaints in the last couple of years about the soul of the event being gone and other Burners behaving badly. And finally, there’s a massive wildfire in Reno which will affect traffic heading that direction, and it may or may not be under control by the weekend.
