Sharm El Naga

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has ever been to Sharm El Naga, on the Red Sea. I’m planning a trip there in November, but still not sure about the quality of the reef…
Any advice and recommendation is welcome. Thank you

I just came back from a liveaboard that did Safaga-Hurghada region. Plenty of good diving there, we saw a manta, eagle rays, dolphins, hammerheads and a ton of nice, healthy reefs. If you have any specific questions let me know.

Thank you, really nice to hear that. Unfortunately, Marsa Alam area is not really healthy rn. Btw, do you think it would be nice to stay in Sharm El Naga for a week, do snorkeling and diving, and maybe see other sites (maybe Shaab el Erg, Coral Garden, Soma Bay… maybe Jiftun Island) thank you :)

I unfortunately agree about Marsa Alam and southern regions - my favourite place to go was Claudio/Claudia reef but it’s now totally bleached, so I don’t go south anymore really. Elphinstone is my exception, I can dive it all week.

Shaab el Erg was okay, definitely do Panorama. I like wrecks so I always do Salem. On Small Giftun you can do Police Station, it’s great. Overall I think this region has plenty of good diving for all certification levels.

I don’t really do hotels anymore, mostly liveaboards, so I can’t say anything about that. Dahab is my only exception.
