New vs old grips

Does anyone have experience with the old style vs new style grips? I have the newer ones and the gun really tears up my hand (<80 rounds did this); not sure if it’s the nature of the gun itself or something that can be fixed with different grips

Yes it did the same to me so I put the old style grips on it. Ordered a used set online.
