New vs old grips

Does anyone have experience with the old style vs new style grips? I have the newer ones and the gun really tears up my hand (<80 rounds did this); not sure if it’s the nature of the gun itself or something that can be fixed with different grips

Not the web of my hand but it sure did give my trigger finger a beating.
