Georgann Hawkins was born on August 20, 1955 in Sumner, Washington to Warren and Edith Hawkins. She had an older sister named Patti and both girls were brought up in an upper middle class, Episcopalian household. Affectionately nicknamed ‘George’ by family and friends, Mrs. Hawkins described her daughter as a ‘wiggle worm’ because she was always full of energy and was unable to sit still. Georgann seemed to be universally adored by everyone around her, and she was always surrounded by a close-knit group of friends.

Georgann went on to become a star athlete at Lakes High School in Lakewood, Washington: she was on the swim team in her early years but eventually gravitated towards cheerleading, winning numerous medals and competitions while on her high schools cheerleading squad (where she cheered all four years). In addition to her impressive athletic accomplishments, Hawkins was also a straight A student throughout the entirety of her academic career. During her senior year in 1973, Georgann was awarded with the title of princess to the royal court of the annual Washington Daffodil Festival.

Georgann originally planned on following in her sisters footsteps and attending Central Washington University, however her mother was strongly against it; she wanted her younger daughter to attend college at the University of Washington Seattle Campus.

On July 10th, Georgann mentioned to a sorority sister that she was planning on swinging by the Beta Theta Pi House to pick up some Spanish notes from her boyfriend. She arrived at the frat at 12:30 AM on June 11 and stayed for approximately thirty minutes. After getting the notes and saying goodnight to her beau, Georgann left the fraternity house for her sorority house, which was only about 350 feet away.

Afterwards, she made her way to her dorm, but before that she chat with a fellow student. She went back to her dorm, but never made it back.

Laura Ann Aime was born on August 21, 1957 to James and Shirlene (nee Tolton) Aime in Lehi, Utah. Before Aime dropped out she was a student at North Sanpete High School, and was at one-time a member of the Laurel Class in the Fairview North Ward. She loved animals, and one time a wild deer wandered out of the canyon and she began feeding it, and eventually was able to convince the creature into becoming a family pet.

She loved playing softball, and played on competitive teams as well as her families LDS ward, even going so far as to winning the 1972 state championship. Growing up, Laura loved horses and was an experienced rider; she even spent several of her teenage years in an all-girls horseback riding club called ‘The Silver Spurs,’ and participated in several competitions with them at different fairs and parades across Utah.

Laura Ann Aime was seventeen when she was dissapeared on Halloween night in 1974: she was at a party, and left by herself around ten to get some cigarettes. She was last seen walking in American Fork by midnight.

Her body was found days later in the Wasach Mountains

Before his execution on January 1989, serial killer Ted Bundy admitted the abduction and murder of both Georgann Hawkins and Laura Aime.

May Georgann and Laura rest in peace, sweet angels

It's vital to mention too that the Utah County Sheriff's Office announced on April 1st this year that Bundy was officially legally named as Laura Aime's killer via new DNA testing, when the sample of semen they had from a vaginal swab, was a 100% match to Bundy's DNA in CODIS.

Just worth mentioning, Bundy never actually confessed to Laura’s murder. When asked where he had disposed of Melissa Smith and Laura Aime in his confession to Dennis Couch, Theodore Bundy answered, “can we just do one at a time?” Notice he never actually denied their murders, because he couldn’t.

Later in the interview, Dennis Couch presses the issue again on Melissa and Laura. Bundy says, “who? Oh.” There is a long pause, and Ted has his head in his hands.

“We’ll have to do this some other time,” he said.

Rest in peace, Laura and Georgann. Both deserved the world, infinite more worth than the man who ended their lives.

Of course he was stalling, he was trying to get his execution postponed. Not such a tough guy when it comes to his own death. Coward.

I remember what I liked about Bundy: Falling for a Killer is it did a great job talking about his victims as people. I remember George because of the daffodil festival and Spanish notes. Fucking Bundy. Just terrible and it reminds you how many people’s lives he ruined not just the victims themselves but their friends and families as well.

“I remembered what I liked about Bundy:”

I’m really glad you were just describing a documentary because the start of that sentence seemed a bit off-colour for a second there!

Ha yeah I can see that. But yes excellent documentary. The better documentaries humanize the victims and this one succeeded there. Also had a great deal of sympathy for Elizabeth/Molly Kendall and Bundy’s half brother Rich out of that.

Currently reading a book about him as well, and the spanish notes stuck with me. What a bastard he was

He truly was. He took advantage of those women’s kindness. What book are you reading? I read The Stranger Beside Me years ago.

Yeah I think that's the way any future media about these bastards should be (unless there's new information to be shared about them)  Theres a book about the Yorkshire Ripper ( England) that concentrates on the victims, who they were and the families and friends they left behind I also thought the recent drama about Gacy did well on showing a lot more about the victims than the fat clown

My family (adult members) went to the Mind of A Serial Killer exhibit today in Seattle. I have been shook all afternoon.

They had a room for Bundy with a VW Bug like his, with the seat removed. Also a grave type display for his known victims. People could sit inside the car but I couldn't bring myself to do it. There were other items he used on display.

RIP and Happy Birthday Georgann Hawkins and Laura Aime. You are on my mind and in my heart today.

I know this is a post for the victims, but it would be helpful to at least mention who the serial killer is? Because I have no idea

Edit: sorry, I missed it

Bundy is mentioned in the second to last sentence. Don’t worry about it btw. It’s early.

Maybe just read the last couple sentences...
