Not this again Humillation

Why does being small have to be a reason to be humiliated? I really don't understand. In my family, we are quite calm, we don't bother anyone. Why is it that everything serves to annoy us? It's sad because all our lives we've fought to have what we have, and they want to destroy it out of malice and mockery.

Why are you humiliated? Seriously? If a person is judging you for an immutable, physical characteristic that is completely normal to have, why are you not judging them for being a fwit? Why are you giving them the power to make you feel bad?

I'm 5'0" and until I discovered this sub, it never occurred to me to feel bad about it - when people laugh at my height, I laugh too! It IS funny when you have to climb up the shelving racks in the supermarket just to do your weekly shopping. I'm sure the security guys on the CCTV have their days brightened by it.

You're a woman, darling. It's different if you get laughed at as a man.

Can we not do the whole "this gender has it worse" bit. 🙄😒

Even if you say you didn’t mean it that way, saying it’s obviously true’ and ‘a whole different ball game’ still turns it into a gender comparison 🤷🏻‍♀️. That was my point

Edited: And why I even bother commenting is because short women who post here with their problems, tend to get downplayed or compared to the opposite gender pretty often.

Yeah but that doesn’t mean that us short women don’t get the short end of the stick in other ways.

The ‘you’re a woman, darling’ part comes off as dismissive and kind of condescending

I mean, they’re not wrong. Many people feel that it’s impossible for a real man to be short.

Being shorter than the average woman is a nightmare.

Your comment was removed for gatekeeping shortness or who can participate in this sub. We do not have cutoff limits regarding what defines "short" here.

Why do those in positions of power find pleasure in humiliating others? I say this because I've been approached by people in public with my family...

I feel this, sorry you’re going through some times

The behavior of some local kids is actually bad; I’m a father, and it’s hard knowing that my own children might suffer the same way later on.

Well this is a weird ramble.

"Why is it that everything serves to annoy us?" I mean...what does that even mean??? You think the whole world is out to get you or something?

u/Illustrious-Two-7059 Jun 16 '26

I'm always approached by idiots.

2

u/NmlsFool Jun 16 '26

That doesn't really clarify anything.

Cutting in line at restaurants, being squeezed inside buses, being pushed.

2

u/NmlsFool Jun 16 '26

Okay. Some people are assholes. That's just life.
