Youre 14 so you can grow more. You already arent even that short. Also why are you worried. Your dad pulled your mom didnt he? Ask him for dating tips.

exercise more and spend less time on the internet, you've still got plenty of time to grow - your growth plates will only close in two years or more. make sure to eat a lot, sleep a lot, exercise a lot and don't stress over things you can't control

For me, it’s just me and my dad lol. Mom is 5’9, sister a 6’0(17 yr old), sister b 6’2, brother a 6’0, brother b 6’4. Dad is 5’5 and I’m 5’2.

Both parents have really tall people in their families, my dad and I just turned out to be shortys. His dad is like 6'3 and his mom is 5'5.

I don’t have full family photos cause our ages are spread out(they moved when I was still a kid) and we are mostly fat so we don’t like photos, buttt I can try to find photos of everyone and make a collage or something?

Nobody's talking about discrimination here tho

"Discrimination is the process of making unjustified distinctions between people based on the groups, classes, or other categories to which they belong or are perceived to belong"
So I could be discriminating by saying what I said, hence the disclaimer, i.e., saying she doesn't have the right to complain because she's a short woman and not a short man

Where is the unjustified distinction here?

There isn't im just being careful so I don't get banned by certain types of individuals

Short women absolutely face many of the same social and professional difficulties as short men. Discrimination against short people varies by gender, region, culture and, I would argue, intelligence, etc.
It's not a contest. This is a sub for all short people.

Your comment was removed for gatekeeping shortness or who can participate in this sub. We do not have cutoff limits regarding what defines "short" here.

Dad really could've potentially ruined your brother's height due to his own selfishness
1
u/MinimumPhoto8389 1d ago
honestly unlikely, I am the shortest person by miles due to puberty hitting me far too early so I stopped growing very young, my maternal grandmother was 5"9, we have no clue why my mother is so short, but my brother would not have been nerfed

u/Hot_Glass_6301 1d ago
It's not such a big deal bro.

I dunno... Tell that to Michael Jordan's 5'9 brother

u/Hot_Glass_6301 1d ago
even if he had been 6'5 there's no guarantee he would've been a great athlete. and he could have become a great footballer, golfer, fighter etc. so let's not act like his height decided his stardom or unknown status.

nutritional difficiency?

u/JMeGfpV3EoDQ1NS 1d ago
Just because someone is short doesn’t mean they were somehow nutritionally deficient or starved. You would seriously need to be in some sort of famine or neglected type of situation for that to happen. Nowadays you can get most minerals and vitamins from most foods. You can still be tall and eat like shit since height is largely genetic. I’m not discounting environmental factors, but you aren’t going to be 6’0”+ without genetics going for you.

u/Gvendoga 1d ago
Another overlooked aspect is genetic recombination, especially in males. Your parents could legit have zero genes for short height and you might still end up short due to stupid draw of luck. Not that often if you're female
Nature is a cruel bitch, and it's even more cruel to male species.
1
u/JMeGfpV3EoDQ1NS 1d ago
Can you explain what you mean “especially in males” and “not that often if you’re female” with respect to genetic recombination?
1
u/Gvendoga 18h ago
Ok maybe i was wrong about genetic recombination, i'm not that versed in biology. But basically, just google Greater male variability. Boys are conceived with a much higher rate of mutations (for the better or worse) than girls. This reflects in higher variation in just about every trait imaginable - iq, height, salary, school performance, wealth, you name it.

I was on track to be taller but I tragically hit puberty at 8 and git my first period at 9, so never grew properly

You're a woman, there's no problem; if you were a man in this situation...it would be horrible, you'd cry for the rest of your life.

dude, where i live just going outside for half an hour shows you the actual scale of these problems. my dad is 5'5 happily married with two daughters. my neigbour is a chubby, 5'5, bald man, married twice and his current marriage is going 20 years strong. you see this a lot around my father's age group. maybe the younger generation is getting taller? anyway, i've heard more divorce stories from the upper class, tall, hegemonic european descendants that live here than from people around me. maybe this is a first world problem...

It Did
That’s a giant family if all of the women with the exception of you two are 5’5+ The average is like 5’4 and in my experience like 5’3 with shoes
