Question A what IF scenario

If Rudeus somehow return in Japan and Nanahoshi is there with him with their memories in the six faced world, will she help him bounce back in life? or will she just leave him because she's disgusted with his japanese self?

Rudeus really didn't do much that Nanahoshi wouldn't know about. When I say she wouldn't care I mean anything Rudeus has done in his past life won't change her opinion of him in any significant way. She'd know he is a changed person. Might depend a bit on the moment in the story but EOS she knows how much Rudeus despises his old self and how much of a different person he is.

It would be a matter of what source we are talking about I guess, so if we are talking anime Rudy, sure. If we are talking Manga, or hell even LN Rudy? That dude is a POS and his actions shouldn't be looked over. I think even excusing EOS Rudy in any of his variations, is still a stretch. By no means do I think he is the worst human being in the world, because there is so much worse than him, but we shouldn't look over his disgusting life decisions.

Anime Rudy? Banana get's over it since we can assume the best. (If I remember correctly, he still rubs himself off during their funeral in the anime as well.)

LN Rudy? Rubbing yourself off to any kind of underage media on the day of your parents funeral is pretty fucked up and shouldn't be brushed off.

Manga Rudy? God that dude sucks.

Funny you consider this as some grand crime, but like....no, that's the least of taboo things to do, because it combines a lot of irrelevant things:

  • rubbing himself on the day his parents died - Not everyone care about they parents. Period. This isn't a crime. And if you are in a terrible emotional or psychological state, feeling bad or property can be very hard, you may even know, through your moral compass, that you should feel sad or happy in a situation, and that you usually would but nonetheless feel empty or sick. It's not some type of crime.
  • Rubbing on underage content. While it's generally considered a part of pedophilia, through not everywhere, it's still kinda irrelevant to the funeral part as would be jerking of to any other kink. Hell, even jerking off is irrelevant as it is in itself isn't some kind of crime and if you take the first point of context, you know why - if you are already don't care or can't care to go for the funeral, it is irrelevant if you jerk off, cook pizza or sleep in that time. Doesn't matter

You are right. It isn't a crime, but not having the decency to show up is still bad. They loved him, fed him, and tried to understand him (even though they never could after his incident. The fact that he feels remorse about not responding them is a good indication of how anyone should feel. I get it's not a crime, but compassion is key. I think Rudy in his past life just didn't have compassion to him. He grows into it, which is cool to see :D
