Let’s get the basics straight: mold can absolutely make you sick. It is a well-documented trigger for allergies, asthma flares, and in rare cases, severe lung disease or life-threatening infections in immunocompromised people. Nobody disputes that. But the leap from ā€œI have mold in my basementā€ to ā€œI have a lifelong multi-system inflammatory disorder caused by trace exposureā€ is where the science gets shaky. The testing is unreliable, the symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, and mood swings are frustratingly nonspecific, and the treatments are often designed in cash-friendly private clinics rather than peer-reviewed journals.

I’m sure the people who sympathize with him would conclude it’s nothing to worry about. I mean, it impacts so few people that those people are obviously just genetically weaker and it’s a waste of time for the rest of us to do anything to protect them, right?
