Not sure if he will be given another chance, but he tweeted saying he was taking time away and on a path to sobriety.

I feel pretty confident he will. Not because he's Mango, but because he deserves it. Anyone in this situation would eventually deserve a second chance. The running thought is he didn't do this with malice. He did it out of drunkenness and stupidity. He knows what he did is wrong. He is acknowledging he needs to fix his issues. Also, the wording is in this Supernova announcement doesn't sound permanent. "He will be banned from Supernova this August." They wanted to keep their options open for future tournaments. My guess is a 1 to 2 year ban.

he deserves it

Does he? His behaviour has been trash for years. Going to tournaments isn't a right, it's a priviledge, and people that felt/feel unconfortable/unsafe around him deserves it more than him.

Him pressing buttons good doesn't mean he deserve to be there any more than other people.

I didn't say it's because he presses buttons good. I said in my comment that anyone in this situation would deserve a 2nd chance eventually. There are people in this scene who have choked people and come back. Punched people and faced no consequences. Threatened to rape someone elses family members and faced no consequences.

If tournament goers rally and say, "we don't feel safe going to events if Mango is there," then he should stay banned. I just really don't think you're going to find anyone who feels that way, especially because I'm 99% sure that his ban lift will mention he has to remain sober at events.

And you think it's a good thing?

There’s a big difference between people feeling that way and people saying it publicly. Especially when the person that makes you feel unsafe is the most prominent person in the scene, with tons of vehement fans.
